Lack of variety.......2007-05-13

I would not recommend this to anybody. About 30 percent of the postions are repeat at least once, there are some that are repeated three or four times, just under a different name. This book also doesn't have any information about the positions. I would recommend "Daily Sex: 365 Positions and Activities for a Year of Great Sex!" by Jane Seddon.

Missing the point.......2007-01-19

Those critical of this nifty little book are missing the point: it's super-fun. Fun positions. Fun names given to positions. Fun ideas that can be modified for your abilities and, ahem, preferences. It's handy size makes it easily concealable in the nightstand, and it's not too naughty to give as a gift. Enjoy!

Don't bother, unless you're in for a laugh........2006-07-10

No other reviews helped me with what I got when I bought this book. First off, unless your into guy on guy, woman on woman, or multiple partners, this book might have no interest to you. The positions in this book are redundant, and most of which everyone has tried. The harder ones require great flexibility, which can be fun but there's not enough of them. They have half the book as the above mentioned, guy on guy, girl on girl and more then two people. This is definately not for just couples. if you're a couple and looking for a book to get hints from, this is not the book. Also, if you don't have horizontal and veritical poles in your house, that takes away another quarter of the book. So basically you're only left with the same positions everyone has tried numorous times.

hilarious... and so fun to try.......2006-02-01

I purchased this book as a Christmas gift to my boyfriend, and it has made its way from his room to his college apartment's coffee table, where it gets tons of attention, laughs and instigates very interesting conversation. And I'm sure it has instigated its share of experimentation as well. The names of positions are unbelievably funny and the illustrations humorous as well. A great investment.

A joke book.......2006-01-01

Most of the positions in this book are not humanly possible. The authors' intro to the book says it was written simply to catalog as many positions (with clever names) as they could think of. If you are looking for a book that offers sincere advice for positions, look elsewhere.

Don't waste your money. The illustrations are vague and there are no instructions. Most of the 'positions' could only be acheived by competitive gymnasts and that is doubtful knowing anatomical limitations. Just because you give one position two names doesn't make it two positions.

Better than the original!.......2006-09-01

Before you read any further: See if the "bargain price" version of this book is still available (this review is there, too). If so, it's half the price! Just go to the top of this page and look at the other editions available. It should be there if Amazon still has any left. It's the same book, but there might be small marks on the cover or a sticker, etc. Mine has very small marks which I was able to remove and an Amazon Bargain sticker which I also removed without any problems :)

Now, on with my review...

If you're wondering which to get, this one of the original book (ISBN:0811839575), I'd say go for this one. The original only has pictures and names for each position, but this one also gives an estimate of calories burned (kind of a joke, really), a rating system you can give each after you've tried them, as well as comments fields which you can fill in.

The positions aren't exactly the same as the original, however, at least not in the same order. Doing a quick flip through of both, they may be the same 365 or so, but they don't appear on the same dates as in the original (except for the holiday specific ones). In other words, there may be some in one book that aren't in the other, or they may just be rearranged, I'm not sure.

The only other difference between the two is the size. While both are the same thickness, the original is a bit smaller than this one since it lacks the additions I mentioned above.

Overall, if you're interested in keeping track of which ones you do and such, go for this one. If not, then it doesn't really matter. If you can still get this one at the bargain price of $4.99, then you should get it for sure!

And remember, this book was intended to be humorous, not totally serious. Many of the positions are not even humanly possible (although I'm sure many have tried) and that is mentioned in the introduction. It's still fun to experiment and just have fun with it. A great amount of fun with a new twist on some old games. Sometimes unique, sometimes dangerous, sometimes confusing, and sometimes impossible...but always fun!

Would not recommend as an office desk calendar but is a fun nightstand calendar--makes a great gift!

Funny Sex Calendar.......2007-01-11

It is just a fun calender. It is perfect to give to your boyfriend or girlfriend. You will both have a laugh.

I bought this for my girlfriend as a "not so" gentle reminder of what men think about at least 420 times a day, every day of the year.

Some of the positions are quite funny, some are tame and some are down right dangerous. One note of caution: unless you are super limber you might end up in the emergency room with some of the positions. I might regret buying this by the time June rolls around.

Nice creativity on naming the positions and coming up with a new position for each day - although some of the positions are literally just inches different from other positions. Love the extra touch of calories burned by him and her for each position - but it is hard to tell if it is calories per second, minute or hour. Also nice touch on suggested optional items for each position.

The only confusing thing I found was some of the characters shown in the positions are clearly male and female, but on some days it appears they show two females or two males but they list calories burned by him and her, go figure...

If you can't tell by now, this calendar serves it purpose of some good comic relief for couples and we both enjoyed looking ahead to the days to come and wondering just how we were going to pull that off.

Fun yet not instructive.......2004-06-18

This is a hillarious book that is fun to look at, but doesn't really offer any instructive benefit. The drawings are rather vague anatomically-- but the names for positions are remarkably creative (jedi training, the golden arches, etc). In the beginning of the book, the authors even note that many of the positions are not physically possible-- but are again, fun for the reader. A fun book to have around the house, but certainly not a how-to manual.
