Editorial Reviews
Joshua Klein, Billboard Magazine, August 2003
"...one of the most exciting musical arrivals in some time...absolutely nothing sounds as fresh, fun and original."

Product Description
"Lyrically ambivalent and musically daring, this is glam for the flannel and Pabst crowd." - Andy Dowling, CMJ New Music Monthly

Ringodom or Proctor, the debut album from Chicago's Head of Femur, has received limitless praise for its unique approach to indie arrangements and pop sounds. Crossing too many genres to even begin to approach, the catchy yet incredibly intricate record bridges 70's art rock with the modern indie sound, creating something inexplicable yet inescapable. It has ambitious arrangements and rich, lush instrumentation utilizing cello, violin, trumpet, glockenspiel, etc. Rock n Roll for people bored of modern rock music, it twists and flows through eleven songs of inspired madness.

Though several influences can be pointed to (Brian Eno, Sparks, Roxy Music, even the Beach Boys), Femur have crafted these influences into an unique, creative whole, incorporating elements of glam, indie, and straight out rock n roll.

Ringodom or Proctor was recorded at Lincoln, NE's Presto! Recording Studios by acclaimed indie producer AJ Mogis, and debuted at #30 in the CMJ top 200, remaining in the charts for seven consecutive weeks.
