Product Description
Their second release, "Notes For the Conversation", delivers 14 tracks of hard-driving rock and roll. Their near-explosive sound is both melodious and honest, with a vintage tube-amp feel that goes the distance on both heart and content. Recorded in Portland, Oregon's Type Foundry under the guidance of Mike Coykendall (Amelia, M. Ward, Fernando, Beth Orton), "Notes" throws the listener right into the mix, from lo-fi pop to country-tinged rock to outbursts of punkish pleasure. Coykendall brings the warmth of A.C. Cotton's live sound to the record, affirming the charms of non-nonsense rock reminiscent of the Stones, the Replacements, and Wilco.
