About the Artist
The Flattops formed in Rochester, NY in 1987. The band toured relentlessly before and after the release of Hi Fi Honey in 1993, creating a loyal following all over the USA. They were instrumental in getting Texas Rockabilly legend Ronnie Dawson back on the road in the States between 1992 and 1994. They played memorable shows together. Flash forward to 2003, after two more album and 16 years of R&R the Flattops are back with a remastered and improved (included color art and bonus tracks) reissue of their acclaimed first album. Sadly, the band played their last show at Las Vegas Rockaround in September 2003.
Product Description
Fantastic debut album straight-up Rockabilly from Rochester, NY. This classic trio: guitar, upright bass and drums pounds out raucous roadhouse rocknroll, bluesy shuffles, and fast rockabilly. Featuring their hero and mentor, Rockabilly legend Ronnie Dawson on 3 tracks (11, 12 and 13). This album is a must-have for Rockabilly fans.
