Product Description
Beau Brummels vocalist Sal Valentino turned aside from the roots-rock of the band’s last two albums in favor of the bluesy, psychedelic soul (e.g. Cold Blood, Janis) that predominated in the Bay Area at the end of the ’60s with this group, which boasted no less than four female vocalists (Annie Sampson’s wailing vocals give Janis a run for her money here)! Future Starship member Pete Sears and guitar hero Tim Barnes rounded out probably the single hottest live band in the San Francisco scene at the time, best know for its performances during the last days of the Fillmore and on the Medicine Ball Caravan tour and film. This debut record came out in 1971, and it has definitely got the feel of the time and place (and what a time and place!)—includes 'Looking for You; Great Changes Since I’ve Been Born; the Kinks’ Rainy Day in June; Added Attraction (Come See Me); Dreaming Man; Stroke Stand; Bad News; Don’t Waste My Time; Colonel Chicken Fry', and 'Brand New Start'.! A 'Collectors’ Choice Music' exclusive!
