Rivers of Stone is the debut album from JADE REDD, a group discovered and produced by Jay Ferguson of Spirit, Jo Jo Gunne, and Thunder Island fame. The twelve songs are brought to life by lead singer, Madalena. Her haunting vocals and songwriter James Briggs’ powerful melodies are paired with Jay’s lush, progressive production.
Pianist James Briggs studied with renowned classical composer Ken Benshoof, founder of the Kronos quartet. James is joined by John Gibson on wind instruments, Scott Johnson on guitar and Jay Ferguson who adds his magic with stringed instruments and electronica to create a rich and powerful tapestry of sound. JADE REDD has been described by some as a cross between Enya and Evanescence, yet still uniquely original.
