Culling their influences from such luminaries as Mott the Hoople and early David Bowie, Brimstone Butterfly also tips its hat to early new wave mixed with today’s appealing pop-punk sound. The production idea behind Normality Killed The Cat was to keep it simple and raw, while the lyric universe evolves in and around normality and the "ordinary" life. The place where curiosity, inclination to learn, love and zest for life have been replaced by materialism, boredom, narrow mindedness and even cynicism, as we zap the TV between war and sports. A soundtrack for 2005 indeed!
