Crowded House fans who aren't content to settle for a Neil Finn solo album every few years may well appreciate Joe 90. The four-piece band's debut, Dream This, offers a similar meld of thoughtful lyrics and catchy, vibrant pop-rock marked by Chris Seefried's ever-so-slightly sandpapery vocals. Appealing on first listen, the disc reveals depth after a few plays; while tracks such as "Ferris Wheel" and "Mascara" rely as much on craft as art, they're also hard to say no to. A healthy measure of the Lennonesque also makes the likes of "Truth" and "Super Hero" sound familiar while belonging very much to the group. --Rickey Wright
