Society: The Basics 9th Ed........2007-05-18
This text book is pretty easy to read and understand with today's news incorporated in it. It's great to use in a college course.
take good notes in class.......2007-02-03
you know, if you just take good notes in class you don't need to buy the "required" books for class. and this is multiplied if you continuously start each semester reading and end up not reading anymore. this book is a perfect opportunity to not read.
The Face of North Dakota.......2006-05-30
If you are seeking the book on the geology of North Dakota, you can purchase new copies of the 3rd edition (2000) from The State Historical Society of North Dakota museum store in Bismarck for ten bucks including shipping. To find it, search for "museum store book" north dakota.
I have the 2nd (revised) edition from 1991. It is well worth the money if you are interested in the geology of North Dakota.
Great Service from Amazon.......2006-02-26
Hello,I was apprehensive at first about ordering my book from Amazon but I liked the price and after reading the other reviews I decided to take a chance.I did not want to buy a used book because I did not want to chance getting an 'as is' product. I got confirmation that the book was shipped 2 days after I ordered it and lo and behold to my major surprise, I got the book the NEXT day!! I was very happy about this but even happier when I saw that the book was exactly what I had wanted. Thanks Amazon for the great service. Hey I believe we should give credit where credit is due. As for the actual contents of the book, I will get back to you on that since I just started using the book for my first sociology class. It seems ok so far but I will let you know. Thanks again.

Book Description
This book presents the powerful basics of the original Teachings of Abraham. Within these pages, you’ll learn how all things, wanted and unwanted, are brought to you by this most powerful law of the universe, the Law of Attraction. (that which is like unto itself is drawn). You’ve most likely heard the saying “Like attracts like,” “Birds of a feather flock together,” or “It is done unto you as you believe” (a belief is only a thought you keep thinking); and although the Law of Attraction has been alluded to by some of the greatest teachers in history, it has never before been explained in as clear and practical terms as in this latest book by New York Times best-selling authors,
Esther and
Jerry Hicks.
Learn here about the omnipresent Laws that govern this Universe and how to make them work to your advantage. The understanding that you’ll achieve by reading this book will take all the guesswork out of daily living. You’ll finally understand just about everything that’s happening in your own life as well as in the lives of those you’re interacting with. This book will help you to joyously be, do, or have anything that you desire!
Customer Reviews:
SENSATIONAL!.......2007-06-16
This is the only book you'll ever need to understand the Law of Attraction and how to utilize it for your own good. You don't read this book once or twice. It is a reference guide to be read over again and again. You'll find yourself going to certain chapters for information and encouragement. The book is never far away from you!
I just love Abraham, Esther and Jerry!!
Great to read along with.......2007-06-15
I own the book as well as this audio version. I really enjoy reading whle playing this unabriged version. Be sure to buy part two (it includes the processes) Both are essential. The first part speaks to your conscious mind. Doing the processes speaks to your soul.
disappointing.......2007-06-11
The book seemed repetitious. I'm sorry to say that it revealed nothing new and I failed to see the point except to make money for the authors.
the modern day bible.......2007-06-10
this is it!!! the original modern day bible. All the other similar sounding books are just a fraction of the knowledge. All the major wrigthers of selfhelp books (DIER,DEPACK CHOPRA) are the students of it.
If YOU want to know why the world the way it is,how it works, how to make YOUR life what you are dreaming about!!!
Get this book and other books by the author, read it over a FEW times (you get more out of them every time, again and again)and YOUR life will hit high orbit....
SEE YOU THERE
thought provoking.......2007-06-08
It has given me a new outlook on life that I plan to use for the rest of my life.

Customer Reviews:
Very good.......2007-06-18
This book gives many practice examples. It is perfect for a person new to ECG rhythm recognition.
After completing this book, I recommend Huzar's Basic Dysrhythmias: Interpretation and Management - Text and Pocket Reference Package (Revised Reprint). It reviews the basics, but goes much faster (with fewer practice strips) -- but more importantly it goes into much more depth. It also delves into 12-lead interpretation much more than other similarly titled books.
Basic Arrhythmias.......2007-04-12
The information the book puts across is good. There are a couple of issues with the rythms which have to be reviewed. It is certainly a book worth having.
Exellent book for beginners to intermediates.......2007-04-07
I've been an ER nurse x 15 years, and I've bought several EKG books, and this is far the best. It begins with the simple basics, and gives lots of practice. I would highly recommend for anyone teaching ACLS. The software I would give only 4 stars, but it is still one of the better softwares I've seen. Make sure you have a set of calipers to use with this book.
Maybe it's just me.......2005-05-02
I really didn't like this book, and I'm not sure if it is just the topic that I struggled with or if it was the text. I had a tough time reading the book...I didn't like the blank lines to fill in the answers, it seemed distracting to me trying to learn the information and having to stop and fill in the blank as I go along.
As far as the information, it was really very compelete and there were A LOT of practice strips in the text. That part I did find useful. It does take a lot of practice in class, in the field and in clinical settings to learn the cardiolody and ekg intrepretaion. If you can get passed the fill in the blanks part, or if that doesn't bother you than it seems to be a very good book. It just didn't seem to suit my learning style.
Simple, simple, and simple!.......2001-08-30
I have to say that this is the best college text book I have ever used. Clear, concise explanations of semi-complicated topics. I could not ask any more out of a book, except maybe lowering the price.

Customer Reviews:
Good companion.......2007-06-03
If you are looking to SUPPLEMENT your anatomy text, this is the book for you. The illustrations are clear and very easy to understand. There is very little verbiage on the systems or structures making it almost impossible to pass Gross Anatomy with this book alone. There are a lot of alternative anatomy atlas' on the market, but you wont go wrong with this one!
Detailed pictures, great for reference.......2007-05-23
It's a great book but after a while i got tired of it not having any text. I checked out Gray's Anatomy for Students at my library and I'm definitely going to purchase it soon, sadly ... I have sold this book already, if you're like me and need more than just visuals, get the best of both worlds with Gray's Anatomy for Students.
Awesome Book.......2007-03-23
Netter definitely makes anatomy as well as a bit of radiology easier to visualize and remember with his colorful pictures, diagrams, and radiological scans. It is organized very well. May not have enough detail for your tests sometimes, but you can easily find 90% of the things you need to know in this book.
Netter's Anatomy book is AWESOME!.......2007-03-10
I absolute love the large schematics in this atlas. If you are the sort of individual that loves seeing the bigger picture all on one page with all the details intact, this is the atlas for you!
Great Artistry.......2007-03-08
Simply very useful. The graphic is incredible and it presents human anatomy in a way that is very visual and from many angles of the bodies.

Michael Myers is # 1.......2007-05-31
I have bought and researched a lot of Certification books and the only book I found to keep your interest was Michael Myers..I also bought some DVD courses and this man keeps you interested. in what you are studying..Awesome author...All his books are up to date on all courses of study...If you want to pass the exam this is all you will need..He also offers a practice exam, so don't miss out...
Great Phone and good coverage.......2007-05-30
Picked up the Blackjack a few weeks ago and must say it's a solid little SOB. As you'll read the matte finish makes it feel really nice in your hands. I like the jog wheel a lot too even though it's not adjustable (yet). The phone looks and acts a lot like the Q but the slimmer profile is noticeably better to work with.
The menu's and layouts are well planned and like all my previous Smartphones it has the same basic sub-menus and categories. WMP10 is a lot nicer then 9 was and when you pop in a MicroSD card (which can be hard to get it in without long fingernails) it asks if you'd like to find media. BT stereo works flawlessly with my HT820 for music but watching a hi frame rate movie was a little chunky. I need to try a lower frame rate with BT to see if it makes a difference.
So far I've been using almost non-stop and the battery was only half full. I'm sure it'll take a lot of charging but hey with two batteries and an external charger I can make it work. Might even turn the external charger into a little "backpack" with straps or Velcro to give me a longer out of office time. So far the 3G work awesome (when I'm in it!) and just screams through mobile web pages.
Sadly in my current apartment I do not get signal (metal roof and siding), I have to step outside in order to receive/send voice calls :(. I will be moving here in the next month or so and can only hope I will be able to get reception in my house; otherwise the signal strength is great.
Positives:
0. HSDPA is fast and solid
1. QVGA landscape great for web and media
2. XM radio totally rocks!
3. Keyboard layout is highly functional (but does not come without cons)
4. BT stereo works really well
5. Built in Task Manager and Piscel Viewer
6. JAVA download app
7. Nice external speaker
8. Hot swappable Tflash
9. Jog button
10. Battery life and Extended included
11. 1.3 mega pixel camera
12. Overall size and feel :)
Negatives:
0. Center nav button to close to end and call
1. No push to talk feature.
2. No WiFi on this phone; damn you T-Mobile dash!
3. The 1-0 (zero) QWERTY keys don't have any special feel to them. A tiny bump on each would by nice. However I don't drive and talk at the same time so not that big of a problem.
4. Applications must be ended in Windows Task Menu to free up memory. :(
I'm very satisfied with this phone and would recommend it to any business people and students who want an all around practical phone with a lot of usability.
Excellent!!!.......2007-05-25
This is an excellent book, easy to understand, so many details, I am sure I am going to buy all the next edition....Thanks for Amazon for the best prices, and quality....
Again thank you!!!
Easy reading.......2007-05-25
The author has a pleasant way of presenting the content of the book.
This book, contrary to other books, has lots of photographs to give the reader an adequate visual concept of what to look for.
The glossery section is good, yet a little too compact at times.
This book has more "how to " sections than most books I've read.
Personally I would like to see a more info on networking.

Good Overall.......2006-10-11
Pretty thorough text for anyone learning or brushing up on their skills...quite intuitive.
This is one of the best business statistics book.......2001-10-27
This book is used in the course of Business Statistics at University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. This is a useful and understandable book. The questions are well-prepared.Also,the statistics program PhSTAT is given with this book. I advise you to buy.
Good, but could be better.......2000-10-20
This book is okay, but it could definitely be better. For a basic statistics class, this book contains WAY too much information to digest in a semester of college. No professor I know of has ever gotten past chapter 8. Further, the problems are quite wimpy as far as the amount of thought required for them. Quite wimpy. Could be better. The only good thing is that for doing it on a spreadsheet, the data comes on a CD, so that you don't have to re-type it, thankfully.

Good book for personal library........2007-01-05
I purchased this book for my personal library, and I was not disappointed by how the material in the book presents math in an enjoyable way.
Excellent Teaching Vehicle.......2006-02-01
Not having paid much attention in school (60 yrs ago) and learning computer programming dicated the need for a refresher course in basic mathematics. The author's approach to teaching is to demonstrate the problem and its various solutions and then provide numerous (up to 60 or more problems for the student to work. Answers are provided only for the odd-numbered review exercises. Chapter tests and cumulative review exercises have answers to all the problems. The text is written in clear language that is easily understandable. As with all endeavors effort is needed on the part of the student. The title is somewhat misleading in that I view this book as a "review" or "refersher" course in basic math not as an introduction to college mathematics which I assumed to be on a much higher plane. At the present I am a third of the way through the book and enjoy it. I highly recommend this book for someone who needs to catch up on their abc's of math. Unlike a lot of books this one has plenty of the hands-on approach to doing math. If you need to learn numbers, this is the place to start.
I hate math but I love this book!.......2005-11-29
at the ripe old age of 45, I had to retake math and for somebody whose math skills aren't above fourth grade, I dreaded the idea. This book made things easy for me. The only reason I do not give it 5 stars is that the algebra section was severely lacking but one math book cannot cover everything. I even used this book in my allied health math class and that book for that class STANK. I resorted back to this book many times as a refresher. My professor for the allied health math class would explain a long, drawn-out version of how to find an answer and a simple shortcut was supplied in this book. I would have the answer before the professor was even half way done with HIS method! I can't imagine ever giving up this book.
Basic College Mathematics.......2005-09-27
I was terribly disappointed as the text received is the instructors edition with all answers noted within the text. As a student of course this text was not what I thought I was purchasing. It was too late to return the text as the semester was in session at the time the text was purchased. I will definitely not use this service again as there will questions as to what I will receive and there is no time for returning and reordering text. Thanx for asking
The best Basic College Mathematics book.......2005-09-10
The book is really easy to read and follow directions.
I like the exercise reviews after each class and the test at the end of each chapter it is very helpful.
I really recomend this book.

Basic & Clinical Pharmacology.......2007-05-14
While most of my students would not find this excellent work "basic", it is an outstanding adjunct to any healthcare professional's library. The chapters are well structured and the information is up to date. The illustrations have improved over the years and are mated well with the text.
In all, this is a worthwhile text for anyone studying pharmacology or a useful resource.

Graphics Student.......2007-02-23
I am taking a night course that required this book. Amazon.com had the best price. The book itself has many beautiful graphic illustrations and the text is fairly easy to read. It is not the total snoozer I thought it would be and has many fun projects to illustrate the points made in the text. All-in-all not a bad course book although this is not something I would have ever picked up for personal reading.
Great for Intermediate Designers.......2007-02-20
