About the Artist
Every label head dreams of putting out records by their heroes, and Nick and Ade had been longstanding fans of Tony Hill right through his freakbeat roots with former bands The Answer in 1966, the psychedelic magnificence of The Misunderstood (featured on the Nuggets II box set) to the brilliant fuzzed-out heavy prog psych of High Tide. Having been somewhat unheard from for about 30 years, Nick's and Ade's hopes were not high when they reached out to Tony to see if he would make a new album for Woronzow. Delightfully surprised to hear that he was into it and ready to make music again, the deal was quickly made. His first solo record and in fact first appearance on a record in over a decade, INEXACTNESS finds Tony in superb shape vocally and (instru)mentally. Forget those spurious out-takes and rehearsal albums from the eighties, this is logical successor to the High Tide legacy and a dream come true for both sides this record deal.
