About the Artist
Bursting through the indie rock scene, driven by a mission to rebuild quality rock music from a foundation of musicality, diversity and strategically placed hooks, Legends & Deeds has the unique power to charge your body and expand your mind.
In the mid 1990s, singer-songwriters Mike Bautista and Ned Tozun combined their creative forces into a vocal / guitar performance that earned them recognition across the Bay Area. Earnestly following their philosophy of letting each song shape itself, they earned the respect of a diverse fan base who appreciated their music for its wide-ranging melodic and expressive qualities.
After three years as a successful duo, they teamed up with bassist Josh Kienitz and drummer Dan Mandell, who had opened for big name acts such as Save Ferris and Big Bad Voodoo Daddy at venues such as The Last Day Saloon in San Francisco and Frost Amphitheater at Stanford University. Approached by producers such as Jim Dean of Counting Crows and signed by indie label Recourse Records, Legends & Deeds onstage prowess has been winning loyal fans from the beginning.
Product Description
Legends & Deeds eagerly anticipated debut album, The Glass Room, recorded and mixed at CCRMA studios and mastered at Annex Digital, was released in August 2001. With each member boasting an impressive background in sound engineering, the band was able to record and mix the album themselves, maintaining complete creative control over the production that gave way to a sound from the heart, far richer than when compromised between musicians, engineers and producers.
