About the Artist
Orange Island started as a group of friends in a small suburban town named Clinton located in the heart of Massachusetts. Writing songs in their basements since they were just fifteen years old, they promised to always play together. For the past two years the band has developed their own unique sound and style mixing rock and roll with upbeat indie rock and pop punk. They have been spending a great deal of time writing songs that give them a defined position within the scene.
Over the past year the band has written and recorded a CDep for Iodine Recordings, which will be released this spring. They have been playing shows up and and down the east coast. Following the release, Orange Island will be hitting the road with two national tours and plan on heading back into the studio early next fall to record their debut full length.
Its no joke when it comes to Orange Islands live performances. With an extreme amount of energy and a dynamic presence, they are infamous for breaking things, and are not ashamed to admit it. Never the less still maintain to deliver quality tight rock and roll. The band has been fortunate enough to play with some great bands which have given them the opportunity to show people what they love to do.
