The group plays a very rich style of doom/death metal which takes its inspiration from classic heavy-metal, Mercyful Fate and progressive music all at once, for a multi-dimensional result. Often described as the French MY DYING BRIDE, JAWAD performs unique music which mixes clean and fuzzed guitars, clear and guttural vocals. The compositions are strung together in a quasi-majestic manner to offer long metallic hymns--as, for example, the highlight of the album, the 20-minute ""Kalos Kagathos"". JAWAD, in the end, is definitely a group which lacks neither imagination nor ambition."
