DRAGON is the name of a Belgian Progressive rock band, based not so far away from the French border, and led by guitarist-singer Jean VANAISE. Today reissued by the Musea label, the self-titled album (1978) displays six tracks all refined and complex, usually filled with melancholic climates. This music evokes the likes of PINK FLOYD, GENESIS or VAN DER GRAAF GENERATOR, whereas some psychedelic parts can remind of IRON BUTTERFLY and company. The musicians showcase their great instrumental richness (Mellotron, guitar, trumpet, trombone, saxophone, etc.) with some brillant guitar soli. Let's also notice a great use of the English tongue in the lyrics. To be rediscovered urgently !
