Welsh beat band The Bystanders are accorded their place in rock history because they eventually mutated into prog rockers Man. But they deserve a loftier position in their own right via a string of superb harmony pop-driven beat & psychedelic pop 45s on Pye, issued between 1965 & 1968. Pattern People includes The Bystanders' entire recorded output, adding six previously unissued tracks from an aborted album, 'Stay A Little While', 'You're Ready Now' (Frankie Valli cover), 'Cheryl's Going Home', 'Little Girl I Once Knew', 'Dang Me' & 'My Way Of Thinking'.
