CLIPPER is an interesting French line-up for different reasons. With French lyrics, "Black Jane" (1996) is more the result of the meeting of four musicians with strong personality than an album of a young unexperienced band. Steve WILLIAM (Guitar), Frédéric GUILLEMET (Bass) and Farid MEDJANE (Drums) give us here a first album full of American influences, strongly enhanced by a singer whose vocal style is not so common on the French scene. Famous studio bass player Bernard PAGANOTTI (MAGMA) can be heard here on an instrumental track called "Speed World". Not to be missed !
