Product Description
Isolation Years’ third album is called "Cover This Distance" and was released by NONS in Scandinavia on February 23 and by Stickman in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Holland, Belgium and Italy on March 29. It was recorded in Atrask, a small village one hour from their home town of Umea in northern Sweden, during late summer/fall 2004. The band grew up listening to 60s rock and psychedelia, which is evident from their first album, 2001’s "Inland Traveller". 2003’s "It’s Golden" saw them begin to develop their sound with stronger songwriting and modern folk-rock and country influences. The new album is certainly their best work yet as shown by the singles "Nurse Hands" and "Michael (If You Cannot Row)". The band has a deserved reputation as an excellent live act having played continuously in Scandinavia and mainland Europe until last year when they took time out to record "Cover The Distance". The five members of Isolation Years are: Jakob Nystrom (vocals/guitar),! Jacob Mostrom (guitar), Mats Hammarstrom (keyborads/guitar), Anton Berglund (bass/accordion) and Daniel Berglund (drums).
