Superb yet previously unreleased 1993 studio album The Sleeper from Manchester band Blue Orchids, formed by creative lynchpin Martin Bramah and Una Baines after the pair left The Fall in 1979. The Sleeper confirms Martin Bramah as a major (yet sorely underrated) talent. In addition to the entire lost album, the extended CD includes tracks from the Sleepy Town and Diamond Age singles, as well as alternate takes of tracks such as 'NY Gargoyles'. The digitally mastered set runs for a full 70 minutes, and the booklet includes extensive sleeve notes. LTM.
