Hall and Oates's association with the early '80s is hard to shake, but this collection shows that the pair deserves a critical reevaluation. The duo's blue-eyed soul was marked by distinctive melodies and arrangements. Just listen to the collision between Motown and new wave on "You Make My Dreams" and the killer intro on "I Can't Go for That (No Can Do)." Can't get that stuff out of your head?
