To celebrate the 70th anniversary of Elvis Presley's birth, January 8th 2005, RCA/Sony BMG are embarking on the most ambitious single release campaign in the history of the UK record industry. All of the King's 18 UK #1 singles will be re-released over 17 consecutive weeks beginning on January 3rd '05 and ending April 25th '05. Each classic single will be released in a limited edition numbered CD and 10 inch format, which will be beautifully packaged using original artwork. 'All Shook Up' was Elvis' first UK #1 single originally released in 1957 and will be the first re-release on January 3rd 2005. Both CD and 10 inch of 'All Shook Up' will be launched in a beautifully designed, foil embossed CD and 10 inch box which can then be used to house the other 17 UK #1's. Each CD will be released in 'mini-vinyl' replica card sleeves with an outer and inner bag. The outer bag features the original U.S. picture artwork and the inner bag replicates a generic UK RCA single sleeve from the time of the original release. Each 10 inch vinyl release will be packaged in the original RCA generic bag. The 10 inch label will replicate the original 7 inch label artwork.
