About the Artist
It was 2003. New York City. Lower East Side.
Eric13, singer, guitarist and a rock community mainstay from Philly strolled into 3 of Cups bar with a burlap bag and a roll of duct tape. He was starting a band, and the elusive bassist Del Cheetah would be his first accomplice. Twenty minutes later in the rehearsal room, Eric13 spoke to the dazed Mr. Cheetah: "Guess what- you're in the f*cking SEX SLAVES now."
They began to write songs based on their experiences; music that reflected their identity, their influences, their way of life - something every boy and girl could relate to. The SLAVES released their first full-length debut "Nikki" in in the US and on Japan's Wizzard in Vinyl label. The initial pressing disappeared almost instantly, so by popular demand they soon followed it with a live album, "Pull The Trigger", on Germ Music. The line-up was finalized with the addition of drummer and New York band kid, J/Bomb. They were lean, mean and professional.
Three US tours and two Japanese tours solidified the SEX SLAVES' reputation as the toughest, baddest and hardest working band in NYC. Drawing on influences like the Misfits, Dead Boys, The Cult, Sex Pistols, Guns 'N' Roses, The Beatles, and one of the original musical outlaws, Hank Williams, the SLAVES took their music to the masses, playing venues all across the country from CBGB's to LA's Viper Room and a memorable performance on opening night at Slamdance in Salt Lake City, Utah. They caught the attention of several American and Japanese publications, as well as rock icons Gene Simmons, C.C. DeVille, Davey Havoc and Lemmy Kilmister. When asked about his new favorite bands, Motorhead's Lemmy was quoted in UK's music magazine "The Big Cheese" as saying, "I saw a good band called SEX SLAVES from New York - they were pretty good."
SEX SLAVES created their brand new album, "Bite Your Tongue", with producer Ray Martin at Shelter Island Studios in New York City. With songs like "We're Goin' Out Tonight", "See You Naked", "One More Night", "Thank God For Jack Daniel's", "2am", "Kiss Me", "All Night Long", and a cover of the Iggy & the Stooges classic track, "Search & Destroy". Fans can instantly relate to the SEX SLAVE lifestyle.
No one can be prepared for the all-out rock 'n' roll experience that is SEX SLAVES. Just see them live. Once they take the stage, these three boys from NYC become everyone's favorite. Blood, sweat and booze pour out of the SLAVES at every show. Their killer songs keep the crowd involved; the connection they share with their fans is undeniable. They sing about girls, girls, girls, raw lyrics, with girls screaming in the front row...screaming their heads off for more.
SEX SLAVES. It's not just music. It's a f*cking balls-out rock 'n' roll movement.
