Often compared to artists such as Jeff Buckley, Ani DiFranco and Tori Amos, Waller's voice and style stand fiercely on their own. An immensely talented musician, he belongs to the lineage of such left-of-center musical forebears as Joni Mitchell and Van Morrison, notable for bringing non-pop influences to bear on mainstream pop. Like them, Waller has forged music and musical forms uniquely his own.
