About the Artist
For the past four years Galapagos4 has brought unique Chicago hiphop artists including Typical Cats, Offwhyte,Qwel, Denizen Kane, DJ White Lightning & Meaty Ogre to a worldwide audience. Royce marks the first independent rock album to be released by Galapagos4.

- Royce first appeared on Typical Cat Qwel’s album, "If It Aint Been In A Pawn Shop, Then It Can't Play The Blues", and successively, his follow up "The Rubber Duckie Experiment". Qwel in turn makes a guest appearance on "Subtleties of the Game" with two new songs.

- Royce is led by the bass & psychedelic production skills of hip hop beatsmith DJ White Lightning.

- "Subtleties of the Game" will appeal to the beat digger, underground hip hop fans as well as the independent/experimental rock/pop collector.

Product Description
This electric four-piece lineup delivers a new independent Chicago sound; from sexed-up, sugary sweet hits and intense dark epics, to bangin' live hip-hop beats (featuring MC Qwel of Typical Cats on two tracks). Their sound, led by producer DJ White Lightning on the boards and low end, is driven by deep bass, tight percussion, and melodies that will make even the most hard core stop and smell the roses. With their debut album "Subtleties of the Game", these native Chicago artists have created a peerless record good for the drive, the barbeque and any intimate moment in between. Released on Chicago's prominent hip-hop label Galapagos4, this group's album will appeal to a wide range of music fans. Royce shapes together unique compositions with influences that span from James Brown to Brian Wilson, Chicago House to Brazilian Tropicália, T-Rex to Too Short. Royce lays down the heart and soul from the tradition of independent Chicago music.
