Product Description
This electric four-piece lineup delivers a new independent Chicago sound; from sexed-up, sugary sweet hits and intense dark epics, to bangin' live hip-hop beats (featuring MC Qwel of Typical Cats on two tracks). Their sound, led by producer DJ White Lightning on the boards and low end, is driven by deep bass, tight percussion, and melodies that will make even the most hard core stop and smell the roses. With their debut album "Subtleties of the Game", these native Chicago artists have created a peerless record good for the drive, the barbeque and any intimate moment in between. Released on Chicago's prominent hip-hop label Galapagos4, this group's album will appeal to a wide range of music fans. Royce shapes together unique compositions with influences that span from James Brown to Brian Wilson, Chicago House to Brazilian Tropicália, T-Rex to Too Short. Royce lays down the heart and soul from the tradition of independent Chicago music.
