Editorial Reviews
Alex White, Outwired/Outword Newsmagazine, November 1999
The sounds of synth-pop made famous in the 80s by groups like Erasure, Pet Shop Boys, and Dead or Alive are definitely alive and kicking and have never sounded better. davidmahr's long-awaited follow-up to his critically-acclaimed No Drama! CD pulsates with driving dance tracks reminiscent of the 80s sound but enhanced with a driving bass for the 90s. The haunting lyrics of abandoment, redemption, loss, and new beginnings provide the tracks with an edge that explore life's reality. Definitely not bubble-gum music. My only criticism is that after only five tracks, I wanted more.
Product Description
davidmahr's Lost & Found, the follow-up to his critically acclaimed debut CD, No Drama!, contains five new recordings that are both dance floor- and radio-friendly. The first two tracks, More Each Day and Out of Control, are driving dance tracks with an eighties flair. Rain is a haunting soundscape of abandonment and redemption, and the ballad Days After Night explores endings and new beginnings. The light-hearted mid-tempo Never Alone rounds out the CD.
