About the Artist
Seattle's Beatseed, a four piece electronic ensemble, consisting of three keyboards and a DJ, have come along way since their 1996 inception. In three short years they have gone from playing backrooms at wharehouse parties to the forefront of the Seattle dance scene, garnering national attention as one of the West Coast's most noted electronic acts, receiving praise in such publications as URB, Mixer and Streetsound. Inspired by hard driving beats and blended with all that is funky, Beatseed's sound has been called "breakbeat madness" by Resonance Magazine. Live, the band more than deliver, and are known for their chameleon like ability when it comes to adapting their sound. They have shared stages with artists ranging from emo rockers Modest Mouse to electronic notables Crystal Method, capturing crowds of every musical taste with their blend of acid breaks, techno, trance and drum & bass.
