About the Artist
One of Norway Records’ first projects to be released outside Norway is a multi-talented band called X-PLEASURE. They have just released their debut album here in Norway, and the response has been really great. At the release party, the band made headline by breaking the record of ticket sales at the venue they were playing. Their album is a concept-album, with musical bridges between all of the songs. Their genre has been called art-pop/rock by reviewers, and they perform strong melodies together with musical virtuosity. The CD cover contains a 24-page booklet with photographs taken by art-photographer Jan Roger Bodin, who is well known from exhibits in Europe and the USA. The photographs are made to match the lyrical and musical expression of X-PLEASURE, and we plan to release the album also as a book/CD soon. X-PLEASURE performs the whole concept-album live as well as a 60 minute musical piece without pauses. They have performed as a support act for Norwegian star! s Briskeby, and at the By:Larm and Quart Festivals. Their record is mixed by Lars Klokkerhaug, a well-known producer/engineer, who has worked with Motorpsycho and Zeromancer for several years.
