Product Description
'a new you' is a guitar driven, rave style electronica record by Dumped; the studio creation of Sammy Clementine, Senior Engineer at Uptime Studios NYC.
The 7 cut album explores a guitar oriented rave sound featuring Sammy's mixing skills and song structures shaped by the flexibility of the digital editing environment.
The title 'a new you' reflects the clean slate felt at the start of a change in life. The tracks are filled with varied textures built from samples and natural sounds.
'I am mostly a recording and mixing engineer,' says Clementine, Dumped gives me a chance to try out some of the crazy ideas I have that can't be used in my normal work.... It's a new genre for me, something I had been thinking about for a while. After recording so many records for other people this year, I felt it just had to be done for my own head. Now I can die... give one to my Mother, put one in my casket, and send one to my ex-girlfriend'.
