About the Artist
Sundog is an international beat collective founded by the enigmatic Englishman, Huw Bowen, who claims to be little more than a puppet of an extraterrestrial intelligence. Huw relocated to Colorado in 1997, and released the track 'No Fear of Flying' as the opening piece on the MELT album, an early project by the founders of Boulder's world-renowned nightclub, Soma. After this success, Sean Roswell joined the organization and they released the 12" vinyl 'Emerge From The Darkness'. Sean, a long-time resident of Colorado's electronic music scene, perfectly complements Huw's technological trickery with his dark and urban sensibilities. The third and final member of the duo, The Analog Suspect, was recruited for her blend of lyrical mastery and technical skills. Sundog also works with guest vocalists and musicians, such as songstress Amy Garcia, in order to create a diverse and exciting sound. After the success of the singles 'Emerge From The Darkness' and 'SuperK9', Sundog decided to try their hand at a full length album. The result is 'Variations on Another Planet', which contains 12 slabs of twisted breakbeats and bass, combining aspects of the UK drum'n'bass style with a flavor all of its own. Sundog wishes to inform its devotees: Quality control has been assured. Invasion is imminent.
