About the Artist
Exstus-E is on a mission: To eliminate the division between true underground electronica and radio accessibility. Think about it the groove of drum'n'bass, rich jazz-influenced tonality and catchy radio-friendly vocals! Delivering these elements within the context of rock & pop song structures, exstus-E is determined to succeed in his quest.
This fresh take on modern music is evident throughout the debut CD, "Experience exstus-E". On this effort, the sound of the underground finally sees the light of day - and thrives in it. Lyrically and musically, this CD is about overcoming adversity and indulging in bold new possibilities. exstus-E is currently undergoing a strong promotional effort in support of the CD, including an in-depth internet marketing campaign as well as more traditional methods of promotion.Additionally, the live show is being developed into a full-on multimedia event complete with video, performance art and dancers.
Hailing from Austin Texas, exstus-E is Bart Landry from beginning to end - from composition through final production. Having played and produced music for the last 15 years, Bart felt the urge to combine his diverse experiences and influences into one solid package. "I wanted to create music that works just as well at 3PM on the radio as it does at 3AM in a club." exstus-E wraps this up into something hitherto missing from underground electronica - a definable camera-friendly persona. Begun in December 1999, exstus-E brings you a sound that is dynamic, highly danceable and will leave you humming the melody after its done.
2002 will be a busy year for exstus-E, featuring intense promotion of the CD and the realization of an immersive multimedia live show.
Experience Exstus-E,Exstus-E,Mystical,Dating back to 2000, this CD was a unique attempt at a crossover between electronica and rock/pop song structures, complete with vocals on most songs.
