Product Description
Product Description

This GSM/GPRS GoPhone comes in the familiar slim Nokia package (4.68 by .9 by 1.97 inches) but is loaded with more perks than one would expect to find on a similarly priced phone.

The main advantage of getting a GoPhone is that you pre-pay for all your service before you use it -- therefore there are never any surprise over-charges. Additionally, there are no credit checks, deposits, or age limits, and all of the GoPhone plans include unlimited night and weekend calling. If you need to stick to a consistent budget, but also want the latest in phone technology, the GoPhone package might be the solution you've been looking for. If you happen to go over your alloted minutes with the GoPhone, you'll automatically be billed for another 30 days of service, meaning your service will never be interupted. With many pre-paid plans, by contrast, your service is suspended until you actively go and purchase more minutes.

As far as the Nokia 3590 handset goes, its GPRS connection ensures high-speed data transmission so you'll have quick access to Internet content via the XHTML browser and can rapidly receive, view, and store e-mail (via MMS), text, or picture messages or talk via mobile chat. Ten pre-loaded text message templates and picture templates help to speed correspondence along. The Nokia 3590 also offers Java support for downloading business applications onto this phone and viewing them on the high-resolution 96-x-65-pixel display. For fun, the Nokia 3590 phone has 25 rich polyphonic ring tones to choose from (plus memory to download more), animated screen savers, three games (Space Impact II, Bumper, Nokia Sugar Bowl), and changeable covers in various colors—some of which glow in the dark. This GoPhone has a phone book that holds up to 500 contacts with multiple phone numbers and text entries for each contact. Other standard organizational features include a calendar that holds notes and appointments, a calculator, and an alarm clock with snooze. For hearing-impaired customers, the 3590 even offers TTY/TDD (Telecommunication Device for the Deaf) compatibility with the phone adapter and hearing aid support with the LPS-3 Loopset. The extended Li-Ion battery is rated for up to 6.5 hours of digital talk time and 12.5 days of digital standby time.
