The PCS phone offers four ways to make a call: dialing from the keypad, speed dialing, using the Instant Lookup feature, or checking the call history. With the press of a button, you can switch over to the speakerphone, conference call, or mute out your caller. In addition, the Treo 300 has 21 polyphonic ring tones to choose from. Key for this device is the constant connection to the enhanced Sprint Nationwide PCS Network, allowing you to send and receive email or access the Web using Blazer, the Treo’s award-winning browser, at any time. The PalmOS organizer has 16MB of memory and a fast 33mHz microprocessor and includes the classic applications—the PhoneBook, calendar, to-do list, memos. You can also run about 13,000 other applications using the PalmOS and transfer or backup data onto your desktop computer from the Treo 300 using HotSync. The full 4,000-color screen makes viewing and playing games a pleasure and the backlit keyboard makes it easy to work in a dark room. The Treo 300’s Lithium-Ion battery is rated for up to 2.5 hours of talk time and up to 150 hours’ standby time. This compact phone weighs in at 5.7 ounces and measures 4.4 by 2.8 by .82 inches.
