Everything went smooth with this transaction. Normal delivery, well packed. Arrived in good shape. I've had it about two months. Absolutely no issues with the monitor or Amazon on this one. Make sure you understand that this is the widescreen format for monitors. It's rectangular with the width horizontal to your view. The short dimension is the height, as you look at it. It's much different than looking at the mostly square "normal" monitors. Highly recommended and a good price too.

This is a very nice LCD monitor... good for playing 16:9 videos/DVDs or just general desktop work. Great image, great pircure, solid colors, no noticable pixel/dot. Just a great monitor at a great price.

a pleasant surprise..........2007-04-22

I bought this monitor for my two boy's computer this past Christmas, based on a couple of reviews---but mainly based on the price. Mostly I swear by Samsung flat panels and the Acer name is hardly the one I think of for top-drawer components....

But the monitor beat all of my expectations. It features both impressive top resolution and good brightness/clarity. The cheap features are mostly the lack of extra utilities and adjustment in the base. It doesn't swivel or tilt or do height adjustment.

Other than that, though, it's been a rock solid monitor.

Okay, except for the constantly blue pixel..........2007-03-13

This monitor would have been perfect for me except for the fact that one pixel right near the middle of the screen was always bright blue. This was really annoying so I returned the monitor. I give this product three stars because I think this was just a random defect that happens from time to time, I don't think it was the sign of a poorly made product. I returned this item to Amazon and went out right away to get another monitor from a local store, but if I had known how smooth and quick the return process would be through Amazon I probably would have purchased another monitor from them.

Great Value.......2007-03-09

I bought this LCD monitor for my adult son, to replace a CRT. He is very happy with the performance of the display, resolution, color, etc. A friend took a look at it and quickly bought one for himself because the performance/price is a great value. We can't comment yet on longevity, since we're only a few months into its service life. But so far, so good. If there are no issues a year from now, my 4 stars would go to 5.

Although I do not use a monitor for heavy graphics, when my 17" monitor died, a 19" made sense as a replacement. (I briefly tried a 19" wide monitor and did not care for it.) This has clean lines a sharp picture and was very reasonable.

No doubt the setup is simple and adjustments are easy to do and works at 220 v too and clear picture, but words are not sharp and this does not have built in speakers.

An inexpensive option to an Apple Cinema Display.......2007-03-19

For quite a while I'd been looking for a widescreen monitor to go along with my Mac Pro, but trying to stay clear of the expensive Apple Cinema Displays. Recently it dawned on me that I could get as much (or more) screen real estate by putting two 17-inch monitors side by side. So I set out to look for another Envision monitor, since the other one I owned (the one I was using with the Mac Pro already) had worked out just fine for us.

When I found this silver beauty I knew I was in front of the solution I had been looking for. The design is not unlike the Cinema Displays, with silver casing and a curved stand, but besides this and the impeccable image quality, most important is the price tag: for a fraction of the price of a comparable Apple monitor, you can get this one, which will look just as good next to an Apple computer.

So, if you like me want to fit your Apple tower with a good looking monitor with good image quality, without spending an arm and a leg: seek no more. And if you still are lucky, you may be able to find it for even less (I paid $[...] for mine) at Costco.
