Enjoy a widescreen theater experience and high-definition picture quality with the 40-inch ViewSonic N4050W LCD TV, which features a 1280 x 766-pixel resolution and a thin, 5.25-inch profile (without included stand). It's compatible with 480i, 480p, 720p,1080i video source as well as computer resolutions up to 1280 x 1024. You can even watch TV and surf the Internet or check e-mail at the same time with the PIP (video-over-data) window, then easily switch to full screen viewing of computer applications or video. ViewSonic's ClearPicture video processing feature eliminates noise, increases contrast and detail, and optimizes color for rich, vibrant images. High-definition images look amazing and even standard television images are unbelievably smooth and sharp. (Note that this set doesn't include an NTSC TV tuner.)
It features a 15:9 aspect ratio, 600-1 contrast ratio, 450 cd/m2 (candela per square meter) brightness rating, super-fast response time of 12ms (milliseconds), 170-degree viewing angle, and an anti-glare, anti-reflective coating on the screen. The digital 3-line comb filter separates black-and-white detail from color information to virtually eliminate edge crawls and rainbow effects while enhancing picture resolution. The N3250W has two stereo speakers that provide a total of 24 watts of power (12 watts per channel) and are capable of delivering SRS virtual surround sound. It includes a DVI-D input for uncompressed digital RGB connection from source to screen. By eliminating the conversion of the digital signal to analog, it delivers an unblemished image. Thanks to the non-degraded signal, you get less flicker and a clearer picture. The DVI input is fully backward compatible with HDMI sources, and also uses HDCP copy protection.
