Digital Picture Frame.......2007-01-19

Not found it very easy to use and the picture is nt as good as I would have hoped. Picture is grainy and color is weird.

The quality of this product was very poor. The pictures shown on the various websites show a nice sandy beach and nice true color, however, this was not the case. The product does not have near the same quality of the LCD Televisions out on the market. As long as you stand about 6 feet back, you may not notice the pixels of your favorite picture.

Don't buy this!.......2007-01-13

I needed a plug and play device for my mom who is computer illiterate and can't view her digital photos that way. I thought this would be a nice alternative. She could take her memory card straight from the camera to the digital frame. Nope. Doesn't work that way. The frame only displays pictures with a certain style of filename, no more than four digits long, and it doesn't recognize the "underbar" charater. So, first I had to download the pictures to a computer for her and rename them all, then re-upload them to the memory card. Second, it only displays pictures in a JPG format, but these were created that way, so no problem there. Once I got the pictures to display on the digital frame, the resolution was awful! The colors were off and the pictures fuzzy and unclear, even though on the conputer screen, the pictures were beautiful. Anyway, I boxed the silly thing up and returned it. No way was it worth $100. I wouldn't pay a single dollar for it because it doesn't do what it says. It's not a good display for digital pictures, unless maybe you print one out and tape it to the front of the frame!

The best you can get for the price.......2007-01-09

I offered it to my boyfriend for Christmas and he was really happy. We didn't have any problems with it. It looks nice and it is easy to use. We didn't resize any pics. If you loof at the frame too closely you can see the pixels and you need to fix color and light but I think that it is a good deal!
If you don't want to spend to much money buy it. If you want the last model with all features buy a sony frame for 250$.

Very Poor Quality.......2007-01-02

I was very disappointed in this item. The quality of the displayed pictures -- both in resolution and color, was horrible. Like the other reviewers said, the pictures have a yellow tint that you cannot correct with the frame's controls. I would not recommend this product.

OK, Limited, There are much better out there.......2006-12-26

We just got one for Christmas and will be returning it. The picture is average for all the ones we looked at in stores. We took an SD card with a variety of JPEG pictures to all the local stores that had similar models. Many were worse. Some were better. This one will only show digital camera files, not from a scanner or a phone. It will not play them if they were edited, cropped, rotated. We purchased one similarly priced at Radio Shack that did show a wider variation of files for someone else as a gift.

Low resolution, poor performance and poor documentation.......2006-12-04

Don't look too close to the screen, if you've got 20-20 vision you'll see the pixels. The slide show wouldn't play all the photos I loaded onto a SD card (I checked, they were all there and recognized by my computer's card reader.) Adjusting brightness using the "menu" function yielded no discernable results. Manual is poorly written. Web site for support even worse. You can get 799 15-cent prints at Wal*Mart and send them to grandma for the price of this piece of junk.

First Digital Frame I've Tried.... .......2006-11-26

I'm sure there are better digital frames out there. I cropped and resized many photos to fit the size of the frame (320x234) and they display ok, but I really do not like the slideshow. It plays much too quickly, and the transitions are annoying. The speed of the slideshow is not adjustable. The frame has a "menu", but there is no explaination in the manual as to the function of the 4 adjustable menu items. Smartparts tech support told me that the items in the menu "generally do not need to be adjusted."

On the plus side, I only paid $70 for this frame, and when I wrote to tech support for help, and they replied within 24 hours, on thanksgiving weekend.

This model works as described, but next time I'll buy one with a remote control, and with a customizable slide show.
