Worst documentary ever.......2006-10-27

I just became aware of Muse and I gobbled everything up including this dog. this quite possibly the worst documentary I have ever seen. This thing is not fit to become a coaster at my house. I purchased this at Fry's who I thought would only carry legitimate product.

For Die Hard Fans Only.......2006-07-02

This DVD is totally unauthorized, Muse did not participate and none of their music is used or played, which is a huge dissappointment. It is a series of interviews of past friends, hanger-ons and wannabe's, but it is interesting if you are as huge a fan of the band as I am and want to hear stories of what things were like for them in the beginning. The interviewees seemed honest, likeable and fans themselves so it was fun hearing from them, but you have to wonder how much truth there is to it all with no band support. I'd give it a 2 1/2 stars, only for rabid Muse fans.

being a huge fan of muse, i was amazed to see how good this video was. The music and interviews astonished me and i think i have become more attached to muse.

Waste of money.......2005-08-04

This DVD was a waste of money and a waste of time. It's "unauthorized" by MUSE, so therefore there were no interviews, no live footage, and none of their music was included. They interviewed people who had never even met the band. I learned nothing new from watching it. Don't waste your money!

Quality Movies don't have to come from Hollywood anymore.......2005-03-12

I was first recommended this film after a friend of mine bought it online and loved it.
I'm a huge movie fan, but I can easily admit i'm a bit hesitant to buy indie films-because, let's face it, Hollywood has all the money to make great (but sometimes mindless) blockbusters that lack a complete story, but still we continue to watch them and flock to the theaters each week.
I was very pleasantly surprised by this film-and let's start with the features. This is the first indie DVD I have ever bought, but with the wealth and variety of DVD extras, I doubt any other one has as much as this. It comes with a great interactive feature that lets you expand on stand-up performances and dramatic scenes, an interview with the director, and documentary of the main character, Bobby Roos (after seeing this movie I wasn't asking myself who he was anymore, hence the title), a movie trivia challenge game and more.
Now getting into the actual movie-it's all improvised with some scenes of the once famous Hollywood comedienne Bobby Roos' stand-up performances-but as we quickly see, he has a severe identity crisis-he is no longer himself. He is inhabited by the celebrities that he impersonates-such as the always popular Robert De Niro, Dustin Hoffman, and the late Marlon Brando.
This film really deals with issues deeper than the thin line between being famous and falling out of the spotlight.
I really recommend this movie for anyone who is looking for a quality character driven story. This has changed my perception of indie films, and I can't wait to see more of them.

A psychiological drama........2004-12-14

This psychiological drama gets into the heart of present day delema. Understanding who we are in this complex world.Bobby Roos has trouble with his idenity as we all do sometimes. Perhaps the story is more truth than fiction. The DVD must be viewed several times to really appreciate it

Edgy Brilliance.......2004-12-12

A guy who's so good at playing De Niro, Colombo, Robin Williams and more that he doesn't know who he is deep inside is an arresting premise. The film is all the better because the star is so convincing and the direction is right on. A haunting film that will leave you with many questions about what's real and what's not.
