Pat says she's much happier with her career NOW than she was back when she felt tied to the fast-track -- and her happiness shows in this high-energy concert with only a few flaws. First off, she looks great -- trim and defined at the age of 50(!). Second, she sounds incredible and her band does too -- delivering as much heat and energy off of songs like Hell Is For Children and Promises In The Dark as they did 25 years ago. The only difference is that she now delivers her anthems with a nod to how fun they are to belt rather than taking them too seriously. The flaws? The concert looks as if it were staged just for the production of this video (so it feels somehow less live and spontaneous) and the occasional new song (Out of the Ruins) is just not my cuppa. Nitpicking, really. Enjoy the show -- she still out-hollas anyone. :)

Definetly worth watching more than once. The band mixes up some of the hits to make them fresh, which works for the most part. The crowd looks 30 years old and up and that makes sense. The music is tight and Pat demonstrates the versitility of her voice. Her husband Neil cranks out some good solos but I always feel he could bust out more. Its fun to hear Pat explain some of her songs. The audio is slightly below standard, so you need to turn up the volume. The new songs are just missing something. Good fun throughout though, Pat can still rock.

I'm a big Pat Benatar fan, & I had the great pleasure of seeing her live myself at her only Sydney concert a few years back. I also had the `Live in Newhaven' video, which, although very old, showcased her talent. So I was really looking forward to the arrival of this DVD (& thankful I had thought to purchase a multi-regional DVD player!).
I was not disappointed!
Pat's voice is better than ever, & she remains one of the best live performers I have ever had the pleasure of seeing. The show is terrific, & includes a lot of her old classics as well as some new material.
There are also extras, by way of interviews with Pat & her husband/guitarist Neil Geraldo, where they explain where many of the songs came from.
Buy this, & see a performer who can really sing live, without all the hype!

Ahhhhhh Pat, how many hours did I spend looking at your "Live In Concert" poster, with that tiny black mini skirt and matching tiny black singlet, hanging off my bedroom wall all those years ago. Hang on, I'll just get it out again.
Well, things all came back to me when I saw this brilliant DVD. Great concert, and she still looks beautiful. But not only that!!! She sounds brilliant!!!! Really brilliant!!! Still has that rough edge and then melts into the smooth sultry voice just before hitting you with her best shot, right between your eyes.
I always totally loved the guitar playing with all of her songs, so to see Neil as a balanced part of her show was new to me and a great surprise. Sorry I missed you Neil during the `80's, but I'm with you now.
So the obvious question now is, when are you guys coming to New Zealand to rock us in person??!!!

We don't get Pat Benatar releases in New Zealand these days so I was suprised to come across this DVD. What a great find though! Like most people I remember Pat Benatar from the usual 80s hits. This DVD shows a depth of performance few artists are capable of at any time let alone live. Neil Giraldo plays spectacularly, especially with the acoustic sets and Benatar's vocal performance is almost seamless.
I was impressed with the arrangements and that Pat and Neil's voices go together so well. But that's experience for you.And Neil has always had superb production skills.The audio mix is very nice too. Possibly the best live concert technically and musically I have ever seen. Made me a fan all over again but with more respect than ever before.

This is one of the best dvd's I have ever seen! Pat still has that awesome voice and she can still put on a great live show! The 4 new songs are so great too!! My fav is I Won't...can't wait for the new album to come out to hear the rest of her new stuff! If your a Pat fan, you definitely gotta get this dvd!! And Neil Giraldo still kicks major [tail] on that guitar!! WOOO
