5 out of 5 stars What a Blessing!.......2007-02-17

I originally bought this to get the Crabb Family's "Through the Fire" which I saw on YouTube. It is fantastic (talk about anointing!), and it alone is well worth the price of the DVD; however, there are a lot of other songs on here that are such blessings. I had never heard the Hoppers before. Their song "Yes, I Am" is wonderful and blesses me each time I hear it. It's one of the ones I listen to three or four times in a row. I got this DVD three days ago and it has been in my DVD player ever since I got it. I have watched it from start to finish twice already and watch my favorites over and over. The Gaither Vocal Band's song "On the Authority" makes me want to shout every time I hear it. The recitation of James Weldon Johnson's "Go Down Death" is moving and leaves many in tears. "Upon This Rock" and "Go Rest High on the Mountain" are both powerful performances as well. This was my first time to buy one of the Gaither DVD's, but this one has already proven to be such a blessing that I am sure I will buy many more. Amazon doesn't list the tracks. So here they are:

1. When The Saints Go Marching In
2. On The Authority
3. Comedy/Bill Gaither, Mark Lowry
4. Miracles Will Happen On That Day
5. Comedy/Bill Gaither, Roy Lewis

5 out of 5 stars Great diverse music.......2002-07-14

I have seen several of the Gaither videos, and of course many of the TV show/infomercials. This is the best one, in my opinion, and a good mix of the old and the new. The Crabbe Family's "Through the Fire" was exceptional, and Charlotte Ritchie's version of "Go Rest High on the Mountain" was excellent. Both drew well-deserved standing ovations and encores. I am not sure why Ritchie does not come out from the shadows of the Easters. I am not a huge fan of the overly-twangy Easters, but "Goin' Away Party" was very good. Allison Duncan Spears also had a great song, and another standing ovation. Traditional gospel (with banjo and fiddle) was covered by the Lewis Family, and Russ Taff was great on "Praise God." There was a tolerable dose of Mark Lowry's schtick, and some other good comedy. Excellent DVD if you like this genre.
