1 out of 5 stars Jajaja.......2005-12-30

This must be just a disgusting joke right? I, as many other fans tought Chris was a little bit more serious about his job, and what i saw on my screen still makes me sick.
First, when the concert starts, obviously you hope to see a great band, or at least a few musicians, but you don't, there's only a keybord and two mic stands.
2.- When he appears you hope to see a good looking guy, (I didn't know him until i watch the dvd.) but there's only a half bolded chubby guy dressed up like you or me, and i thought ok, must talented musicians are ugly people, like Elton john or Alan Parsons.
3.- Then you say, ok, there must be a surprise or something behind all this empty stage, but the concert starts and you start to think you are running out of time for that "surprise".
4.- The moment of thruth comes, and you know "Lady in red" is the next song, we all know that is his greatest hit, in fact, i think must of Chris fans are fans just because of that song. He starts with his keyboard the first half of the song and when the chorus ends you say ok, joke is over, let the band appear... but there is no band at all, is just the same dissapointing version of my favorite song the second half.
If you are reading this is because you are not sure to buy it, please listen to me, if you respect yourself and if you respect music DONT BUY THIS, give your money for charity or just keep it, dont let them fool you as they fooled us.
Finally i'd like to thank Amazon for their great service that we all can get here, i live in Mexico and every time i buy my stuff arrives just in time and well handled, is not your fault some people cheats and release cr@p like that.
Best wishes, RUBEN.

1 out of 5 stars what happened to the sound?.......2005-10-05

i'm as big a fan of chris' as the next guy, but come on, he obviously didn't listen to this dvd before it was released, as even i'm too embarassed to play this for my friends!

i've been waiting forever for a concert of his to play on my home theater system and show him off to my friends. unfortunately, i'm still waiting...

5 out of 5 stars Chris DeBurgh Road to Freedom Concert.......2005-09-13

A MUST for anyone who knows Chris DeBurgh music. This dvd concert is absolutely incredible. Intercut with background visuals and closeups of the audience.....Chris walks around the fans as comfortable as he's walking around his house! The sound is superb also.....the acoustic guitar is just outstanding.
Definately a five star rating!

5 out of 5 stars A VERY MOVING PERFORMANCE.......2005-07-05

If you're not moved by this performance, stick to listening to 'Lady In Red', thinking it is the best song Chris De Burgh ever wrote. A lot of my favorites are not performed ('Moonlight And Vodka', 'Crusader', 'Carry On', etc.), but then an artist like Chris De Burgh cannot possibly sing all his best songs spanning over 30 years of songwriting.

1 out of 5 stars Not Even Entertaining.......2005-06-13

Chris DeBurgh should get a marketing manager or at least someone to keep him from embarrassing himself with a product like this one. Half the time, even the audience doesn't know when they are supposed to be excited...except the paid ones.

Also, it's great to see a 20 to 30 minute set of acoustic Chris during a concert...but Chris DeBurgh NEEDS a band...without it, his songs go as limp as they do on this DVD.

Sorry Chris, I love you, man...but could I have my money back this time?
