Editorial Review:
Description
Foghat's electrified and hard-rocking boogie was a multiplatinum success in the 1970s, long after the fabled British blues boom had come to an end--a testament to the enormous and wide-ranging appeal of the music as envisioned by singer/guitarist "Lonesome" Dave Peverett. Millennium Tour gives us undistilled Foghat, recorded and filmed live in concert in 1999, shortly before Peverett's premature death at the age of 56.

Other show was better.......2005-09-16
I know this was one of Lonesome Daves last shows, but I like the other music DVD better "2 Centuries Of Boogie" The guitar player does not compair with Rob Price, he is the king of slide guitar. I still enjoyed this DVD just not as much.
Foghat - 'Millennium Tour' (WEA) DVD-Running Time:78 minutes.......2005-03-19
I've heard other fans refer to Foghat as pretty much being a two-album band.Personally,I think they have more like four, maybe even five worthy lp's out.'Millennium Tour' was taped at a 1999 gig in Houston,TX.My only complaint about this DVD is there are entirely TOO many interview segments between the ten(10)songs that are played.Other than that, every Foghat fan should get a lot out of it.Tracks I thought were good to experience once again were "Stone Blue",the bluesy "Sweet Home Chicago","Somebody Sleeping In My Bed","Fool For The City" and their energetic encore "Slow Ride".Their new song "Rock Your House" is actually pretty good,I thought.Line-up:Lonesome Dave Peverett(R.I.P.)-guitar&vocals,Tony Stevens-bass,Brian Bassett-slide guitar and Roger Earl-drums.Lonesome Dave,my friend, you will be missed.
Foghat The Millennium Tour DVD.......2005-02-18
Foghat The Millennium Tour DVD - I purchased this from my local Best Buy and its awsome. I highly recommend this DVD. Lots of interviews and all the great Foghat songs. It was really awsome to watch all the different interviews and footage of the band members having fun and i feel like i know a lot more about foghat. Great DVD top quality and highly recommended.
Lonesome Dave's Legacy - Foghat Still Rocks.......2005-02-16
Since original guitarist Rob Price had had enough of touring by 1999...the lead guitar is handled by Bryan Bassett...formerly of one of the incarnations of Molly Hatchet. Bryan does a great job of guitar work with a few minor miscues along the way. Lonesome Dave is amazing to watch...just after months of chemotherapy he is obviously feeling good and having a great time as all of Foghat seem to be doing. There are also great interviews here along with a great show just months before Lonesome Dave's untimely death on February 7,2000. It is obvious from this DVD that Foghat still believed in delivering a full assualt of blues and rock and that the Houston, Texas crowd was definitely into it. This DVD also included great live performances of "Somebody's Been Sleeping In My Bed" and a haunting live performance of "Angel Of Mercy" which was written by Lonesome Dave and Bryan Bassett. I think any Foghat fan should have this DVD....not for just the fact that it was one of Lonesome Dave's last performances...but also because it shows that Foghat still had the fire to play as well as they ever did.
