I was hoping this would feature Brent and Paul more trading licks but it was still very good. The tunes with Vince Gil and the ones of just the Players are the best.

Can't get out much?? Well, sit back, relax and enjoy the show. This is great inspiration from Nashville's best, not to mention some terrific hall-of-fame performers. Bayers, Franklin, Hobbs, Mason, Rhodes and Horn are the in-your-dreams band. And "good, real good" doesn't begin to describe Travis Tritt's spontaneous combustion or Vince Gill's subdued Tele supremacy. Lord-a-mighty!! But the biggest surprise is Peter Framton. Who? Yeah, Frampton. He's still got the chops and the tone. Get off the couch and give the boys a standing ovation.

This concert although held nineteen years ago is a must have for any of her loyal fans. The video quality (almost 8 track quality) is not up to todays standards by any means but it is no doubt the best that was available for 1986. The audio also lacks brightness and suffers from the "hiss" that was so commonly accepted back then.
Other than that, this beautiful ~~Lady~~ presents herself as graceful as any Queen on this planet. The sharp soulful cry in Tammys ballads still makes you feel the pain in her songs. I followed her career right from the beginning and morned her much too early passing like everyone else. This lovely "Southern Belle" radiates pure class. She very innocently captivates the audience throught every number. This DVD is definetly a keeper for me. I would suggest that you buy it while its available.

This live concert was taped in 1986 in Wheeling, West Virginia. Tammy Wynette sings all her favorites in best form and she is supported by an excellent band. The recorded concert lasts for one very enjoyable hour. This concert is a must have for Tammy Wynette fans.

I HAVE BEEN A FAN OF TAMMY WYNETTE FOREVER. I HAVE SEEN HER MANY TIMES IN CONCERT FROM SEVEN SEAS, WAY BACK WHEN, TO BILLY BOB'S TEXAS IN FT. WORTH, AND GRANNY'S DINNER PLAYHOUSE IN DALLAS, TX. I SAT ON THE FRONT SEAT AT GRANNY'S! SHE ALWAYS HAS PUT ON A GREAT CONCERT. I AM SO GLAD I BOUGHT THIS DVD. I HAVE ALL HER ALBUMS, TAPES AND CD'S AND THIS IS A GREAT COMPLIMENT TO THOSE. This 1986 live concert was filmed at the Capitol Music Hall in Wheeling, West Virginia, and shows a mature Tammy, in her early forties, with attractive cropped hair, reed thin in an elegant strapless gown; half-way through, she discards the skirt portion, to reveal sequined pants, and looks simply stunning. She intersperses the music with anecdotes of her life, little verbal "snapshots" that are quite moving, like the story of the first time she went to Nashville looking for work, in 1965, with 3 small children in tow.
Wynette does not have a large voice, but is a supreme country stylist. There is a subtle sadness and vulnerability to her persona, and a delicate beauty, which also add to her appeal.

The musicians. Tammy is backed by an excellent band, and they are: Rick Murrell, bass and vocals; David Sloas, guitar and banjo; Mike Douchette, steel guitar and harmonica; Charlie Carter, rhythm guitar; Steve Samuels, keyboard; Ken Janson, drums; and Sue Richards and Paula Murrell, vocals.
This is straight concert footage, with no fancy camera angles and no endless cuts to the audience as in some live films; it is an hour long, and though the appreciation of this concert will be limited to Tammy's fans, they will love it, and it is a nice way to remember this great country legend, who took leave of this earth plane in 1998.

I wish I had of been at this concert,the dvd is the next best thing. To sayTammy had talent would be an understatementafter you see this. This dvd is a musthave for any true fan of country musicor anybody who just loves darn good music by a darn great performer!!

You got to hand it to this lady. She has been through everything. I bought this DVD for a friend of mine and we watched it. It's a concert from Edmonton from 1978. Loretta includes her big hits in this show and we loved the way she interacts with the audience. The DVD also includes an updated bio of her life and career. Although the sound and picture quality are bit sketchy this DVD is a must have for any Loretta Lynn fan. So if you cannot visit her ranch at hurricane mills then check out this DVD.

5 Stars For The Band, 1 Star For The Editing...........2006-04-10

I totally agree with the other reviews, to a point. A great performance from a flat out killer live band; no argument here whatsoever. Absolutely 5 stars and a must have for any Nashville P*ssy fan. However, the camera editing is terrible. The individual shots stay on screen for a second or less. Rarely do we get a shot of the entire band on stage or of an individual member for more than a nanosecond (and there is maybe only a handful of shots of Jeremy on drums). Personally I found this very aggravating, especially during Ruyter's guitar solo's...nudge, nudge. You can listen to the blistering rock 'n' roll on this disc over and over (ripping the music onto a cd-r is a must since no other live docutments of the band exist), but may find it very difficult to watch the entire show a second time. So if you love this band, purchasing this dvd is a no brainer, a must have. Shop eBay or zShops to save some cash. However, if you are interested in the band, but own none of their music, I strongly advise purchasing the first album along with the latest release (which may be their best) "Get Some" before this dvd.

One of the best live bands today does not disappoint.......2004-02-14

I am a big fan of NP, so this may sound biased but this DVD really rocks. Filmed live in Paris, it does a great job of capturing the intensity, sexuality and hedonism of seeing this band live. There are a few moments though where the camera angles did nothing for me. NP roll through all of their big songs and even pay tribute to the "real" AC/DC (Bon Scott era) with a hot cover of "Shot Down in Flames". Bottom line, this is a hot and gritty look at one the best live bands in the world today.

Nashville Pussy, along with The Murderdolls, is playing loud, fast, balls-out rock n' roll in an otherwise wimpy world. Real metal is still alive and well, and where it should be, underground. This DVD is a low-budget affair to be sure, no fancy menus, and only a videoclip for "Say Something Nasty" and a photo gallery as extras, but who cares? The Concert is a sweat-flinging, high-decible powerchord fest, down, dirty, and grand. It's filmed in a packed club in Paris, France in 48k pcm stereo and sounds fine, although the box says the sound is 5.1 (it isn't). The performance is a little sloppy at times, and the drums are too low in the mix, but those are small quibbles. Admittedly, some of the visual "Wow" factor has left the building with Corey Park's departure, (The new bassist Katie is solid but boring, think she needs a year or two in Rock Star school), no more fire-breathing or gal-wrasslin, but overall it's well worth the price to see Ruyter's skivvies and Blaines Hootchie-kootchie dance. Pick it up now, and play it loud mutha!

I was in the audience in Ottawa when he taped his trip across Canada. Although I have not seen the dvd yet (have ordered it already from another source), I can tell you that Charley sang all of his greatest hits. Charley is a funny man on stage when he talks to the audience and puts soul and feeling behind his every song.

THINKIN' OF YOU!.......2007-01-29

I've order this DVD thinking it was a different Concert than the others, to find out is EXACTLY the same Concert then Lynn Anderson Live at The Renaissance Center. That's Right!, Would you believe that!
Number 1: Lynn Anderson Live At The Renaissance Center and
Number 2: Lynn Anderson Live In Concert, both are IDENTICAL, different cover photos. The first one she is wearing a Yellow Country Jacket with her right hand pointing up. The second one is a tight shot of a younger Lynn's face, shorter hair and wearing a necklace. There's a HUGE difference between both, the second one packes an OUTSTANDING SOUND, Yeah! I was very surprised. What a difference good sound makes! even everything ells looks better. I'm glad I discovered this, but I'm sorry I'm still think the dancers are lame. See my review of the first one
There's another DVD called The Best Of Lynn Anderson, taped at the Cheyenne Saloon in Opryland, Orlando, Florida in 1986. This one has only six songs. So if you have to get one of the two, get number 2 Live In Concert...much better sound, although it's hard to find.
