This CD/DVD combo (also available in CD-sized packaging) isn't quite a live-album, greatest-hits, or rarities package, although it contains plenty of material that falls under all three columns. Rather, Feast on Scraps is a generous serving of everything Alanis. Its centerpiece is a CD featuring eight previously unreleased songs that were recorded during the Under Rug Swept sessions, plus an acoustic take on the hit "Hands Clean." Among the highlights here are a nasty Jagged Little Pill throwback called "Sister Blister" and a warmly seductive folk number approximating Joni Mitchell called "Offer." Then there is the DVD, brimming with superb live performances of sleek, dark pop hits such as "You Oughta Know," "Head Over Feet," and "Thank U." The set is rounded out with some delightfully candid behind-the-scenes footage (watch Alanis break down in tears during the writing of "Surrendering") that will make her fans gasp in delight. --Aidin Vaziri

"Be that my cue to crave you...".......2006-04-26
Alanis Morissette's Feast on Scraps is a brilliant collection from start to finish. It comes with a concert on DVD and and an audio CD, containing 9 unreleased songs that did not make Under Rug Swept. The CD is great, song tracks include:Fear of bliss, Bent for you, sorry to myself, purgatory, unprodigal daughter, sister blister, offer, simple together, and an acoustic version of Hands Clean. The live DVD has some annoying sound quality at times but it is a great concert. She sings old and new songs. The best live performances include: All i really want, Flinch, Unprodigal Daughter, Uninvited, Head over Feet, Precious Illusions, Hands Clean, and Right through You. If you are a huge fan of Alanis, then this DVD/bonus CD will be the best eye/ear candy in your music collection.
HORRIBLE SOUND QUALITY.......2004-07-26
ALANIS IS A GREAT ARTIST, BUT THE SOUND ON THIS DVD IS HORRIBLE. NOT A GOOD PURCHASE.
What are all you thinking?.......2004-05-30
I don't know where all these 5 star reviews are coming from but this is without a doubt the worst concert dvd I have ever seen.
Sound quality is so bad it is painful and the video is pretty much unwatchable. I've seen better production on amateur wedding video.
Simply awful
Could have been better.......2004-03-08
During 21 Things I Want in a Lover, the audio quality drops tremendously whenever the sometimes low quality video changes. Very hard to listen to. It happens frequently throughout the dvd.
The cool parts are when the quality is good. But it doesn't last long usually. In between songs when Alanis speaks is really cool, but I don't like the setup of the dvd. There should be an index of some sort so you can go to the different things she says when you want to show others. Otherwise you have to sit through everything.
I give it 3 stars because its poorly organized and has haphazard qualities. Still cool if you're a huge fan though.
Alanis Fan!!.......2003-10-23
I'm a huge Alanis Morissette fan and after watching this I loved her even more. Feast on Scraps switches from her live performances to home videos. It includes "Uninvited" which is one of my favorites. She is a great performer and very funny. I never thought she would be so funny because most of her songs are angry. I was very surprised. If you're a fan of hers than you should get this dvd. If you're not a fan than borrow it from someone and maybe you'll become one.
