5 out of 5 stars Great performance from a great band.......2007-03-30

I've been listening to queensryche since their early days , they have always been a great band as composers and performers, they are one of the best bands around after all in terms of original songwriting and performing, they still tight, strong and still can deliever a good show, I've attended four of their shows on different tours including their last one OPM II, they were always great , energic and commited to their music and there's no doubt that the band started declining after their promised land album, some people say it was Chris departure from the band that started this declining, I dont think so , As in many bands happens creativity just goes away in some period of their own existence and they pay for it ,I think this happened to queensryche in the songwriting element, but not in the live show performance area as well. So this dvd really shows up what a good rock concert should be , excelent songlist, energic musicianship from the band, as they still do, excelent sound also. you will not be dissapointed, its worth the price and its worth the show.

2 out of 5 stars Queensryche is washed up!.......2006-08-13

Although I too am a die hard 'ryche fan, I missed this DVD in my collection and just picked it up. While not going into the Degarmo argument that the band isn't same without him (it's totally not), the music was flat and Geoff seemed to lose some of his top end. It is hard to explain that you want to feel the energy from the music and the band, but it just isn't there.

The problem is that the pulse of Mindcrime was just so good, this really pales in comparison. It is painful for me to watch this. It is like a boxer that has been in the ring too long. Pick up a used copy of Livecrime and buckle in and enjoy the ride.

My copy of Evolution just got donated to goodwill.

4 out of 5 stars Awesome!!!!! BUY IT - RIGHT NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.......2006-06-24

Great dvd, yeah it doesn't have Degarmo as everyone complains about but isn't it better they still are a band and play live than not at all? Awesome picture quality and sound, a great show.

5 out of 5 stars Aged like fine wine.......2005-09-04

I'm tired of people putting this band under the gun and saying "Well why didn't they smile for the camera" That's as bogus as thinking Supertramp is prog rock. The truth is they still rock. The song selection couldn't have been better.
There are still people who are stuck in Mindcrime. There is life after Mindcrime.

I realized just how influential this band has become in my own musical writing and just what a great singer Tate is. Even if there could have been better songs,I'd realy challenge that they didn't include a wide array of great songs.

So the next time you want to bash a great band like this, just ask yourself if perhaps your too old.

4 out of 5 stars Good DVD - stop complaining.......2005-01-05

This is a very good show. The sound is absolutely great, set list is very good. Ok, I admit Michael Wilton sometimes seems bored, and Kelly Gray is not a great replacement for DeGarmo, but everything works fine.

I can't believe people say they don't understand "Why did they leave so many songs out of the DVD, songs that are in the double CD?" Come on, what are you, naive people? Of course they do that trying desperately that hardcore fans will buy BOTH the DVD and the CD! That's why they put more songs in the Cd, of course! If the number of the songs were the same, people would not fall for this trap. The songs taken out of the DVD serve as a bait for people buy the damned CD.

As for people complaining that they are getting old, fat or both, what do you expect?! It has been ten years since LIve Crime, for Christ's sake! Anlyse the DVD for what it is: a professional release, with good sound, good performances, GOOD MUSIC and run of the mill bonus material. That's it.
