Pure Pleasure 3D is a new concept in entertainment that plays like a CD but uses DVD technology to intensify the listening experience. Beautiful 3D nature scenes draw you into a magical world of music and nature. Sitting on a beach at sunset, driving through the red rocks of Utah or sitting by a warm fireplace with the perfect music playing. Moments of Pure Pleasure, captured so that you can enjoy them at home. Each track is a mini-vacation. The unique 3D technique is based on motion and actually works without special glasses. However, two pairs of Pulfrich 3D glasses are included to enhance the 3D effect. Pure Pleasure 3D can be listened to again and again. Just like a CD, It plays from track 1 without the annoying FBI notice, animated logo and menu that begin most DVDs. To play a specific track, just press the Menu button anytime. After the fifteen music/nature tracks, there are nine environmental tracks with no music. Nature sounds in Dolby Digital 5.1 surround you. Like being there! Any of the nature environments can be repeated indefinitely to create a restful background for reading, conversation or relaxation. The sensual, romantic soundtrack is also available as a CD.

Sorry to be negative but I disregarded the comments from the buyer who was bored thinking they may expect too much in this day and age of hyper-fast and megacolor but they were right.
This is not good footage, but shot from several moving vehicles that bounce around and really are quite fuzzy, as well as not
really in 3-D. Very limited 3-D effects. Music was different and not very good either. I am seeking a full refund, I was severely disappointed and am warning you ... Buyer Beware

3D Relaxtion On DVD.......2005-12-07

Aftering reading the buyer reviews, I got this movie and really liked it. Granted, the 3D effect can cause eye fatigue after a bit, but it is still enjoyable and relaxing to watch. Some folks, who have trouble just watching nature or scenery, will find this DVD boring. I know there has been one review as an example of this already. But for anyone that would like a chance to see some great depth-of-field affects with beautiful nature and locational scenes, then this DVD is worth having in your collection. My only complaint is that it should have been made for the Nwave 3D shutter glasses like the IMAX films, which would have made the depth affects even more amazing.

A Wonderful New Way to Relax and Enjoy Music.......2004-12-04

The beautiful nature scenes on this DVD create a magical atmosphere for music listening. Though I love the sensual soundtrack, I often let the video run as a background for listening to my other CDs. Some of the tracks are intended as environmental backgrounds and just have nature sounds which surround you if you have Dolby 5.1. I particularly love the "River Reflections" track which looks like an impressionist painting that is alive with rippling motion of the colors. Crickets and birds surround you in sound. Subtle ripples make beautiful effects which are delicate and subtle.
I pity the guy who found this boring as he probably finds nature itself boring unless it is speeded up with quick-cutting and time-lapse effects. This is the damage caused by watching too much TV! This DVD is an excellent way to develop your sensitivity to nature and to calm your nerves as in meditation.
The nine 3D tracks draw you in very nicely to a feeling of oneness with nature but I'm glad there is a mix of tracks as 3D glasses can cause fatigue after a while. The nice thing about the 3D process used here is that you can watch it without the glasses if you like.
I really hope that this is the first of a whole series in this format.

Boring!.......2004-11-28

If you're the type that likes to take long car rides and look out the window, or sit for hours and watch the grass grow, then this DVD is for you. The background music is OK, and the 3D is passable (though present on only half of the scenes). However, the scenes are boringly repetitious. I was hoping for something visually stimulating, similar to the video/music montage seen in the suicide room at the end of the movie Soylent Green. Instead you get monotonous scenes like the same school of fish swimming by the screen for 10 minutes (as a continuous video loop), or the view from a train or car window as the houses and telephone poles pass you by (literally, the camera was just pointed out the window of a car and a train for 12 mins each). Arrogant and obnoxious comments like Zaslof's above aside, some may find this relaxing, but I think most would find this dull.

A MUST EXPERIENCE!.......2004-02-19

As a practicing psychotherapist and workshop facilitator for more than 25 years, I have recommended many books for improving physical health and emotional well-being, however I have never come across anything like this DVD. It does it all. The carefully chosen music and nature images like the jellyfish and river reflections produce a special meditative state so that natural healing can take place in the mind and body. The value of the CD is that it enhances the effect of the DVD and can be listened to while driving or when falling asleep.Tom Blakeslee has come up with a real ground breaker in the field of health. I recommend this to all of my patients, and they can thank Tom for their significant improvements.
