Customer Reviews:
Never too old to rock n roll.......2007-05-23
This is a great show by an excellent band in the twilight of their career. The vocals sound good. The whole band is rockin'. There is also superb slide guitar throughout. There are individual interviews with each member as well. Seventies rock is the best.
Foghat Rocks On.......2007-02-15
Foghat was created when Lonesome Dave decided to leave one of my favorite bands, Savoy Brown. Savoy's loss, Rock Music's gain! I have always enjoyed Lonesome Dave as an artist, especially when it comes to the blues and boogie. He was always the epitomy of class and style. I am seriously depressed by the fact that we will not likely see the equal of Lonesome Dave again any time soon. His talent was extraordinary and his music second to none. This DVD is a fine exhibition of his talent and charisma. God speed Lonesome Dave and Foghat!
One Of The Last Foghat Concerts With Lonesome Dave And Rod Price.......2007-01-23
This DVD by Foghat is a video of one of Foghat's last concerts with Lonesome Dave Peverett and Rod Price on guitars. This concert shows both men to be in fine form throughout, and the rhythm section of bassist Tony Stevens and drummer Roger Earl (currently the only original member still with the band) kicks like a team of twenty mules. Foghat has done right by replacing Peverett (who died of cancer in 2000) and Price (who passed away in 2005) with singer/guitarist Charlie Huhn and guitarist Bryan Bassett, both of whom, like Earl and longtime and current bassist Craig MacGregor, are pro-law-enforcement and advocate sanctions against Indonesia in retaliation for that country's trumped-up 2005 drug-smuggling conviction of a young Australian tourist, but no one can truly take Peverett's and Price's places, only their spaces.
Lonesome Dave ROCKS!!!!!!.......2006-08-26
I was very impressed to see that Dave did not hold back on his vocals. He sounded just as good as he did in the late 70's I have seen Foghat 3 times and I must say they sound AWESOME!!!. For someone that is looking for a big light show and hoopla... this is not for you. If you want to see some great musicians play, it is a muyst have.
old and fat now, where is 70's early 80's FHAT? .......2006-07-29
well I had a feeling even before I got this DVD they were gonna be old and fat and not allot of energy. pretty much what I paid for. Its like lets release something to make some money. rip off. Slow Ride and I go back 20 years! used to shower to it every morn in HS! haha. drove my mom crazy. Led Zep released their prime stuff from 70's so why not these guys.
If you read my other reviews you can see I am picky, well hey once you see/hear GOOD. then average just falls by the wayside. I flunk most concert dvd's, and they deserve it.
