4 out of 5 stars Is that a picture of Otis Redding?.......2006-07-20

Yes.Yes. Taken right before he died. Indeed, this DVD includes "I didn't know" with vaccum and all as well as a nice setlist of songs rarely played and classic like Weekapaug and Mike's Song! Also, A Day in the Life, though not as good as the 10/31/95 version. Still, a good show and pretty good quality, no fantastic but good enough to enjoy.

5 out of 5 stars fantanstic.......2006-04-13

This DVD is amazing. Mike's Song is absolutely beautiful. Many people are complaining about the video quality which I will admit is not up to par, but its still very watchable and I didn't have a problem with it. The highlights of this show are definately the sound quality and the lights. Watching this DVD in the dark and taking advantage of the glorious lighting is something that the IT DVD can't provide. Another thing that was great is the way that shots of the crowd were incorporated into the jams. As for the complaints that the band is "bored", the band is no where near as energetic as I've seen them before but they are by no means not interested in playing. All in all, this DVD is worth every penny. My friends and I sat through the entire show laughing the whole time, what with Trey forgettng the words and solo to Esther, the vaccum solo, Page screaming "I saw it again", shots of Phans in the crowd, and just the band in general. Go out and get this DVD.

4 out of 5 stars Poor Video Quality- Excellent Audio.......2005-08-28

Like other reviewers have said, I was confused at first about the poor quality of the DVD. At first i thought it was my HDTV for some reason but i tried it in different DVD players. Still poor quality.

HOWEVER, the audio is near perfect, and I think that phish puts forth a pretty awesome show. My critical ears didnt have a problem with it. I am buying Phish's "IT" DVD, and I am hoping it will be a little more professional.

I must pay homage to the DVD and say that I literally have spent hours on the couch watching this DVD, and i have thoroughly enjoyed it, which is why, despite poor video, still rate this at 4 stars.

2 out of 5 stars this show sucks.......2004-11-19

I warn you do not buy this dvd. The show simply sucks, the band is not in good form and it shows. It says something when Trey is not even smiling, and he doesn't during this whole show. Trey and the band are obviously bored. I will say that there is a good version of the curtain and a day in the life here though. Hope this review helps.

2 out of 5 stars ehhh........2004-10-08

I was lucky enough to catch 27 Phish concerts before they finally pulled the plug, but I'm not one of those overanalytical types that dissect their shows inside & out...I've mostly been a happy & satisfied customer, warts n' all. Having said that, however, this DVD really doesn't do much for me. On paper it looks like an intriguing setlist, but apart from a handful of songs, the performance isn't too inspiring IMO. Looks more like one of those "you had to be there to appreciate it"-type shows, actually. Visually, it varies from bootleg quality to barely above average. I mean, the first time I watched this, I cleaned my DVD player after the first few songs, thinking that's what was responsible for the poor picture quality...but nope, no difference. I mean, this was filmed in the year 2000, right? To put things in perspective, the picture quality of the Led Zeppelin DVD blows this away, and some of THAT footage is 35 years old!! The audio is top-notch however, so that offers slight redemption. Bottom line: spend your money on the far superior "IT" DVD, and avoid this one...
