Proving that the Turtles were as vital to '60s pop as many better-known bands, this delightful 1991 documentary is blessed by the lively personalities of Turtles vocalists Mark Volman and Howard Kaylan (a.k.a. "Flo & Eddie"), whose anecdotes (including memorable encounters with Bob Dylan and the Beatles) are as entertaining as the group's enduring music. Interviews with bandmates reveal that the Turtles were genuinely "Happy Together," enjoying their popularity without the ego hassles that plague so many bands. It wasn't all fun and games, but even the "Lawsuits" chapter provides a hilarious primer on the hazards of rock & roll. Best of all, the Turtles' hits (including "She's My Girl," "Elenore," and many more) are seamlessly combined with rare concert footage, TV appearances, and promotional films. For veteran fans and appreciative latecomers, this DVD is a joy to behold and includes a "songs only" feature that's handy for subsequent viewings. --Jeff Shannon

Great Video.......2007-03-30
If you are a Turtles fan, this is a must have. If not, you will love it as well.
A Great Story. Well told........2007-03-26
Of all of the "story of the band" tales out there, this one may be the best. If you like even one of their songs you should get this DVD. I have had it on VHS since it first came out and had to have a DVD version. They tell all the dirt with humor and tremendous insight into what went right and what went wrong. The explanation about the history of the groups eight different managers is like comedy routine that ends the DVD with the perfect amount of realism and Flo and Eddie humor. The live T.V. version of Eleanor shows just how good they really were.

Awesome!!.......2006-05-29
BUY IT!!! It is worth to have this DVD. Besides is cheap!!! The people fond of 60's should have it in their collection. The interviews aren't that great, but who wants to hear music lessons. What each of every ex-members of the band said, is sufficient to undertand how that musical era was so important and how music business has changed ever since. This is an example of how the music entertainment grew as a business, unfortunately, with bad results in some cases. Good video recollections of dancing, fashion and outdoors during that awesome period. These guys were doing music, real musicians, enjoying every moment of their careers. Happy Together!!! 60's 70's 80's rule!!!!
