We didn't get to see the entire show when it was on TV so we figured why not buy it for our home library. It's a great concert for old and new fans alike. Our 8 and 10 year olds have officially become Garfunkel fans thanks to this purchase.

This is a great DVD that is enjoyable to listen too. A good glass of wine and HD and life is great..

No Play DVD.......2006-11-24

I first saw this concert on tv. It was so great, and I really wanted a DVD of it. When I did get one, it wouldn't play. My DVD player would say "Disc Error", and also say that it might not play this particular disc. I tried all the other DVD players in my house. No luck. One of the players would say "No Disc" even when the disc was in there. I discarded the disc, and got two more. Same results, so I discarded those too. I saw another copy of the DVD. but I'm not sure if I'd want to take a chance with that one. (The difference between the two is one of them says "Across America"- that's the defective one. The other one has the same title, but also says "Live From Ellis Island",and has a wide blue label on the lower half of the DVD case, where some of the songs are listed, and I don't know if that one is also defective or not.) If someone has it-the one that says "Live From Ellis Island", with the blue label, I hope he or she will write a review on it so I can know if it plays or not. If it doesn't, I hoped an improved DVD will be made of it, and that there'll be a mention that there is, and that its been tested, and that it plays. (All DVD formats.) I really do want a good playing DVD of this concert, and I do hope that happens someday.
