To restate what others have said here, if you're a Pumpkins fan, this is a grail of sorts, collecting all the videos from the Gish era to live performances the not-released-inside-America final short film. The band commentary, while unfortunately slanted towards comments from Billy, are extremely insightful to the band's (or should I say Billy's) creative processes, and showed me a side of the Pumpkins I'd not seen before. If there were to be a DVD release of the VH1 Storytellers appearance, that added to this DVD and the Vieuphoria film would constitute a grand trifecta of the audiovisual SP experience.

This is the best video collection of the Pumpkins ever. The best videos on this collection are from "Try, Try, Try", "The Everlasting Gaze", and "Who Wouldn't Be The One You Love". I gave it to my friend for Christmas and he went wild. If you are a Pumpkin fan, you need no more.

Kind of a rip off, but still good........2007-01-18

To all of you who don't have this dvd yet, let me tell you that although it is a good dvd it is not as exciting as the other reviewers on here say it is. They tell you that it comes with behind the scenes documentarys, they are not really behind the scenes documentarys though, it's just footage with the entire song playing over the footage, there is no audio or anything so it's not really a documentary, you're almost watching the whole video again. I don't see why they couldn't just put actual behind the scenes documentarys with audio and not just put the entire song over the what is not that much behind the scenes footage, your're just watching the entire video with the song of course and every now wnd then you will just see two or three behind the scenes images pop up and then go right back to video. There are no actual behind the scenes documentarys on this dvd so I don't know what these other reviewers on here are talking about. There are only 2 extras, a short film called Try,Try,Try which is nothing but the footage from the actual music video Try,Try,Try it's just 10 mintues longer, it's really nothing more than that. The 2nd extra is a never released video to the song I am one, but the video is not that good, it's just the band playing live. The only special feature on this dvd that is just as the other reviews describe it is the commentarys, which are really good and it's the only real special feature on the dvd. The only reason you should get this dvd is because it comes with all The Smashing Pumpkins music videos, which in my mind are the most ambitious, creative, and well constructed music videos you will ever see, but I will warn you again, there are no actual behind the scenes documentarys and special features, that part is just false advertisment to get you to buy the dvd, so the advertisers and reviewers are full of sh**, but this is a worthy dvd to get because of the videos, nothing more.

A fantastic collection of SP's best songs and videos! Great commentary and behind-the-scenes documentaries. Any SP fan would absolutely LOVE this DVD! It's a MUST OWN! :)

Probably been mentioned before but I will mention it as well.........2006-08-26

First, I am a big SP fan, and I love all of their albums and music and videos and everything but this DVD has something on it that kinda frustrates me. There is a thing on the bottom of the case, a very familiar thing, called a Parental Advisory-Explicit Content sticker. Now when you see this normally you think you will receive uncensored, uncut and explicit material. Now I wasn't expecting porn out of SP videos but there are several moments that are still censored in this edition, despite the sticker being present and one or two words are bleeped as well. Then in one of the live clips he says the F word once and the short film and "Try, Try, Try" vid have some disturbing images, oh big friggin whoop. If the videos were gonna be the censored versions, then there should not have been the warning on the front. Anyway, the DVD is great, almost all of the videos are present (minus "The End is the Beginning is the End" which you can get on the Batman & Robin SE 2-disc DVD if you really only want the video) as well as alternate outtake footage and commentaries. I kinda wish the audio was re-mastered as well. Especially on Bullet With Butterfly Wings, the sound quality kept changing from mediocre to bad. The rest of the sound on the videos were fine but, ahh I'll stop complaining. Basically if you're a fan I don't know why you're reading this, but please go and buy it, it's worth every penny, especially for people who have never seen all the videos or only a couple, they're almost all here!!!!! Buy it a.s.a.p.
