Great and relaxing, but since this is an older video it is particularly not his best. Tuscany is by far better and much more enjoyable!!!

If you like to wathc a great musicians it's the opportunity. Andre Rieu, at this time, is one of the best band leader.

Recorded at Waldbühne Berlin, this video is very highly rated for musicianship and choice of beautiful music, but videographer Karl Müller ought to spend the rest of his days in isolated rehab. There is very little time spent on any particular frame of video. It is more like the editor is on a heavy trip with speed, given the nearly constant pan, zoom, fade in and out, jump frentically from scene to scene, and attempts to cover every member of this brilliant orchastra and chorus, and most members of the audience, on every piece of beautiful music. Such shabby editing detracts from an otherwise terrific album; listen to it closely, but don't waste any time looking at it. Something else missing, besides mature editing, is the participation by the always gorgeous and talented sopranos Carmen Monarcha and Carla Maffioletti, either or both of whom would certainly make the title worthy of being called Life is Beautiful. They are not featured at all.

My Product Review: We have 16:9 wide-screen format with DD5.1 and PCM2.0 sound options. He speaks in German (with English subtitles) and feature runs for 59 minutes. This is a concert in Berlin/Germany. Good selection of songs but it would be great if there was 3-5 songs more. For guest musicians we have St. Petersburg Trio (who play Dr. Jivago's Lara's Theme, Poliushko Polie and Kalinka). May be this one is not TOP DVDs of Andre Rieu, but it has a special place in my collection for the songs You are My Hearts Delight, Danube Love, La Vie est Belle and for 3 Russian Tracks.

My General Review: For those of you who are familiar with Andre Rieu's DVDs/CDs; it is needless to say how his music is beautiful and joyful. You never and ever keep yourself in your chair. If you like waltzes or classical pieces or a beginner listener in that area; he is the one who can give you the magic of classical music. And according to me, everyone should invite classical music to his home and introduce it to his/her kids from early ages. And to begin with, Andre Rieu is the great choice.

To me, (in terms of music) every DVD of Andre Rieu is great, there may be some songs that we know from other DVDs (and we already have them), but the whole is a different concert and a different show with different guest musicians - except WORLDTOUR CONCERT is same with LA VIE EST BELLE; GOLDEN CLASSICS is same with ROYAL ALBERT HALL and ROMANTIC PARADISE is same with TUSCANY with a different manufacturer. Also LOVE SONGS DVD is a rip-off compilation of other DVDs by him. It is worth to mention DREAMING which is not a concert DVD, but a compilation of songs played by him in video clip sense. Moreover there are two Christmas DVDs namely CHRISTMAS WITH ANDRE RIEU and CHRISTMAS AROUND THE WORLD (a 2005 European release).

ANDRE RIEU at SCHONBRUNN PLACE-Vienna (not yet released in US), SONGS FROM MY HEART (released in US as "The HOMECOMING"), THE FLYING DUTCHMAN and TUSCANY are the latest concerts of him and therefore sound mix, concert production, stage performance, camera settings, etc. are at their bests.
