With their fifth studio album, The Inner Circle, everything is right on track with the Swedish precious metal forge called Evergrey. The album release last April was followed by a hugely successful North American tour with Iced Earth and Children Of Bodom, heavy rotation of three videos on Headbanger's Ball on MTV2, many festival gigs in Europe and a club tour through their home country. A Night To Remember was recorded and filmed in Evergrey's hometown of Gothenburg and became the absolute highlight of the tour. The historic concert hall of the Storan Theatre (dating from the early 19th century) serves as the backdrop, with its fantastic scenery and acoustics, a breath-taking light show, the band in top form, and the audience (many of which arrived from all around the world) on fire with excitement.

A surprisingly good band.......2007-07-05

Being a fan of Dream Theater and Fates Warning, I decided from the previous reviews to give these guys a shot. I must admit to being a tad skeptical, but from the opening song was impressed. Very tight musically, Evergrey takes the stage and grabs your attention, and never lets go. I found "When the walls fall down" a brilliant mix of metal, classical, even a tab bit of blues... and the overlay of the preacher confessing to his flock gave me goosebumps as I listened to the song.

Don't care about behind the scenes stuff, I want good music, good lyrics and a singer that knows how to sing.
Thankfully, Evergrey delivers excellent music, cool lyrics and the lead singer is one of the best I've heard in a long time.

I felt myself thinking as I watched this, that if Metallica and Dream Theater could conceive a child, Everygrey would be that offspring.

Thats what they give us on this DVD. A full high quality show. Studio footage, mega interviews etc.. Everything a DVD should be. You will not regret this.

The set list is well chosen, the musicians play very well, it feels and sound like all is REALLY live and the video definition is clear, top notch.They took a big risk with the gothic look of the concert (could have made all the show look grainy, pixelated and unwatchable), but the masterful use of lights prevent chaos from happening, and provides us fans of Evergrey with one good looking concert DVD.
The extras are HUGE and welcomed, but how many drunk antics could you endure from behind the scenes? Sometimes i feel the band crossed the line between showing that they are down to earth kind of guys to make themselves seem just moronic, idiotic people.But if that is the only negative thing, you know that this package is masterful anyways.
Highly Recommended.

Thius is a masterpiece! I stumbled on Evergrey a year or so ago, and have since bought every cd. To see this video has me salivating to hear their next album and hoping to see them in concert. This is what a live DVD should be, every other band should take note. No B.S., no fancy lasers and flames...just raw power and pure music.This is rock...the only question is...why arent they on the radio?
